Very helpful and friendly. Told us how to get around and what to see. We had a relaxing couple of days here. Great place to stay over and have a visit.
Wonderful quiet place with deer walking through daily. scoutken met us when we arrived to direct us. Very friendly and a Gentleman. Will definitely contact him when traveling through again! Thanks Ken!
Scoutken provided great directions which really helped locate his spot. This is a heavily wooded site with many four legged deer guests. Our dogs were kept busy watching out for them. We were glad we had a couple tie out straps or it would have been a disaster keeping them from running off. Our host provided maps and local info which was nice. Amenities provided were as listed. We didn't stay as long as planned due to travel plan changes but it was a nice, restful spot.
Great directions. Easy in and easy out for our 30 ft travel trailer & 30 amp electricity was very much appreciated. Ken is such a kind and generous man. We would love to come back and spend more time with him to hear more stories.
Ken was a very welcoming host. He made sure we had everything we needed. He has lots of great stories. We did need a few leveling blocks and be sure to wear your bug repellent and stay out of the woods. We had a family of deer visit us each morning. Also be sure to pay attention to his directions do not take the first Chelsea road as it is a loop and the branches are low on that part of the road. Highly recommend seeing bridal cave. It had the most amazing formations that we’ve seen. We visited three other caves in Missouri and this was the best one.
ScoutKen Was an awesome host ! Had a great time learning a bit about his life and staying on the property! Super helpful getting our camper in the shape it needs to be (neighbors also!) and referring us to fun spots around town !
Scoutken was such a sweet guy! Take the time to chat with him if you visit his place in the Ozarks. Lots of deer and very quiet. Had a great time in the area and staying with Scoutken.
Ken was so helpful and communicative from the very beginning. Wonderful, specific directions to his property, super knowledgeable about the area and the history of Missouri and such a great story teller!
The area is beautiful with plenty of deer to watch. Quiet and serene. Gas, grocery and dumping stations close by as well as fun things to do on the lake.
He even invited me to dinner with his friends which was an amazing experience and what this lifestyle is all about.
I will definitely be back : )
The host here was just the sweetest man. He gave us a lot of recommendations in the area and we felt so welcomed. This is in a quiet area but you're not too far from some really fun bars! We saw lots of deer every day, simply gorgeous area. Just be careful if you have a doggy, there are lots of ticks to be aware of. We will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed spending two nights with Ken! He is generous and helpful. His home is located in a very peaceful part of Lake of the Ozarks. We loved seeing the wildlife there. We were close enough to the town of Laurie to get everything we needed. He has some great stories to tell.
I stayed with ScoutKen for my very first day on boondockers welcome. We arrive later than we thought but Ken was very accommodating and was there waiting for us when we landed. As far as quiet and nice with a pull around driveway. The fireplace in the middle was fantastic. ScoutKen is very welcoming and extremely nice man. He was very helpful and telling us about the lake. Be right bikes around the area and took a walk down to see the lake. He was open to any of our questions and was helpful for areas in and around the surrounding areas. We hope to come back and stay with you again ScoutKen!
Very friendly , and enjoyable to visit with. Lots of varied experiences to converse about.
Would stop by again if in the area.
Had such a fine time trading campground host stories in a beautiful spot with a most happy host
Ken is so very accommodating and kind. His location is beautiful. Great communicator! Highly recommended!
Host told us exactly how to get here. Was very impressed on his knowledge of the area. I didn't think I would fit but it was very easy in the end. Will definitely be back.
Thanks Scout Ken for a great place to stay. We enjoyed the time we spent there. You were a great host and we enjoyed the conversations we had with you and will try to keep in contact with you.
Ken and Jan.
Scoutken was great host and he has a great location in Lake of the Ozarks. Near Camdenton, Bridal Cave, etc. He gave us great directions to his property, was a great host and his property was lovely. I would recommend this site for anyone looking to stay in the area.
Was a great time relaxing in the hills of the Ozarks. Great roads to drive. Scout was a great host.
Great host. Very knowledgeable about the area. Can walk local roads. Enjoyed our stay.
I was just passing through on my way to Oklahoma and found Scoutken close to my route. He provided detailed directions - it was easy to find, IF you just make the two critical turns. And Google maps was accurate as well. There was plenty of room though I ended up unhooking my tow to make it easier to get level. The driveway is U-shaped, tree covered, with water & 30 amp available. Scoutken was very welcoming and we had a nice chat in the morning before leaving. The gravel drive in front loops around for a nice morning walk with the dog. Saw a huge bald eagle just before the 2nd turn!
The host was wonderful. He was right there to welcome us. We had great conversations and no doubt we had a great time exploring the surrounding area.
Ken is an amazing host, going above and beyond to meet my needs (and they were plentiful at the time due to a wreck). Sunrise Beach was beautiful with a very abundant fireworks show on the lake. Get your bug spray (in fact, put it on before you get out of your vehicle) as the ticks and chiggers in Missouri are horrendous this year! Follow his directions exactly as gps isn't correct at the tail end. Great little hideaway and Ken is super nice!
Scoutken was a wonderful host. He is very helpful and is dedicated to meeting your needs so you can enjoy your stay. We were visiting family in the area, so didn’t have much time to visit, but our stay was all you could ask for. Highly recommend.
The deer were nearby, the Lake was just across the road. We felt very welcomed by the host. It was an awesome experience. Thank you!!!
Scoutken offers a pullthru & level site with plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. He provided us several options to explore locals. And he's a good communicator.
Ken made himself available to guide me to this potentially challenging place to find. He was very helpful. Once I got there & settled in we had a lovely chat. He is a wonderful storyteller & travels in his Dodge camper van so he knows what traveling is all about. He also likes to hear our stories.
Only downside for me- fair warning- there are ticks. Not a big deal for many but, sigh, for me & my dog it was a challenge. ❤️❤️❤️🚌🐾😎
Ken is one-of-a-kind. A kind hearted man with many years of wisdom. He was a leader in the Boy Scouts and really seems to live the motto. We felt very welcome. Enjoyed some walks around the area. Found pulling in, hooking up and leveling to be just fine. Thank you Ken, for your hospitality and welcome.
This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and it couldn't be better. Ken is SO accommodating and welcoming, we felt like we've known him for a long time. He offered electric and water and was looking out for us the entire time we were there. The view of the lake is beautiful and the property is under a canopy of a lot of beautiful trees. We hope to pass through town again soon. Highly recommend staying here! So grateful for our experience.
Ken was just the sweetest. Very kind and accommodating. We had dinner together and really enjoyed our brief stay.
Ken is such a nice man and very knowledgeable from his years of camping. He has a very nice place on the lake of the Ozarks. Lots of trees, electric hookup, wanted to do anything he could to help us out. This was our first stay with Boondockers Welcome and we were thrilled with this experience! We look forward to staying again sometime!! Thanks Ken!!
