We (Lucy and Corky) began camping about ten years ago and have traveled every weekend (except the winter months) since. We stay pretty close to home when camping..visiting state parks in NY and PA. We don't currently tow a vehicle, but we are happy to pull into a site and enjoy walks, the outdoors, good food, good friends and a campfire. The workweek is tolerable when you have a camping trip planned for the weekend.
Walmart and Target. Traveling close to home, mostly state parks
We own a 2008 Windsport Motor Home. We have three slides.
We had such a great time staying at Lucy & Corky's place. They have such a nice location - very large level, grassy area to park - and right across the street from a gem of a park! Walking trail, beautiful pool, tennis, basketball, baseball - it had it all. Plus the night we were there happened to be the town's Family Day and they put on one of the best fireworks shows I've ever watched - literally across the street in the park! Lucy & Corky were very nice and helpful, and we would love to visit again. Thank you guys!
Wonderful and convenient place to stop. Never got to meet Corky, but Lucy was very nice and fun to chat with. We especially appreciated how accommodating they were considering how busy they were at the time. The fall colors were amazing!
We hope to visit again.
We were lucky enough to spend 3 nights boondocking at LucyandCorky's place where we were welcomed with open arms. Very fun loving couple who were so gracious and accommodating during our stay. They have a beautiful property so convenient to so many area treasures and they truly enjoy boondockers stopping by just so they can meet new people and hear their story. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be in touch! A big thank you to some wonderful people!
Lucy & Corky were our first Boondockers Welcome hosts and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Lucy was standing on the front lawn waiting to help us get settled as we drove up. They were super responsive on the Boondockers Welcome system and sent us a text the day we were arriving. Their location is so central to so many fun things to see and do in the area: Corning Glass Museum, Watkins Glen famous race track and dozens of wineries, Soaring Center and much more. Also very handy location for shopping. Do not hesitate to contact these fine people for a stay in this area! Thanks so much Lucy & Corky for your wonderful hospitality and we do hope to get back and visit again!
We spent four nights at Lucyandcorky's back in July. They are the most friendly, generous, and accommodating hosts! Our second Boondockers Welcome stay of many on a yearlong trip and we were warmly welcomed. Highly recommended!
Boy when you don't do something right away you forget about it and end up embarrassing yourselves. Sorry for the delay Lucyandcorky!
We stayed at Lucyandcorky's on our way to Arizonia in November of 2014. This was our first Boondocking experience and if this is an example of the caliber of people on Boondockers Welcome we can't wait to meet more members.
Lucyandcorky were more than accommodating welcoming us to there place with open arms. Even before arriving at their place they invited us to go out for supper with them, what a nice gesture! Upon arriving they greeted us with a nice gift (which was totally unexpected) and of course we reciprocated with some good old Canadian Maple Syrup!!
While it was cold we had a warm and friendly welcome. Thank you for receiving us with open arms. Do stop by if your ever up our way.
We stayed four nights here. Corky was absolutely amazing to us! He met us out front when we arrived and helped us hook up to water and electric. In addition, he let us use his wifi and even offered us the use of his fire pit & wood. Corky was very generous - we cannot thank him enough! Great place to stay if you're in the area!
This is our second experience with using Boondockers Welcome and we couldn't be more pleased! Our hosts were so gracious and accommodating to us and made us feel completely welcomed and at ease with staying with them. Their location is in the Finger Lake Region of New York and there is no shortage of sites to see and places to visit. We would highly recommend Lucy and Corky for your boondocking needs! Gracious, courteous and delightful to be with! We will definitely come back to visit again!
We have had the opportunity to stay here several times and always find Lucy and Corky very friendly and most accommodating.
Their location is very convenient just off I-86 and there is a nice park with walking trail across the street. Don't hesitate to stop when you are in the area.
We spent a night at this site. What a great place and what a welcome we received.
Lucy and Corky went out of their way to do everything they could for us. They also were very helpful when we needed to go for emergency treatment the next day. If ever we come in this area again, we sure will drop in at Horseheads.
Corky and Lucy provided us with 2 great nights of boondocking. We were offered water and electric which we took advantage of. The location is very easy to find. Just off of I-86 in Horseheads, NY. There is a very nice park nearby...We struck up quite a good relationship and ended up going out to dinner the last night. We would definitely reccomend stopping here. ....we know we will be back.
