I formerly worked for a defense contractor but have been retired a little over a year. My wife and I love to travel and recently returned from a month in the Scottish Highlands. We are looking forward to a two month road trip which begins on Father's Day this year. We will be traveling through east coast USA and Canada's Gaspe region.
Previously we went to Spain to walk some of the Camino de Santiago, we visited Ireland, England and southern Scotland, we spent a month in Peru and visited many other places. We are avid tenters who have camped 49 of the United States including Alaska and all our Canadian provinces and Yukon Territory.
I am a welder by trade and somewhat mechanically inclined.
We are big animal lovers - especially dogs but lost our Siberian Husky over a decade ago. We also adopted two feline sisters from Montreal but sadly they both passed within the last year.
Since we have given up the tent and are new to travel trailer life, we hope yours will be the first! (Jim and Lynda)
I was born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland (Fife) in 1955 but came to Canada when I was 7 and now have my Canadian citizenship. For many years now we have lived in London, Ontario as that was the location of my work.
We have a Grand Design Imagine that is 22.5 feet long but with the tongue, it is 27 feet. It has one slide out but can be fully functional even if the slide has to stay in. We are towing it with our 2017 Dodge Ram 1500.
