I am an RV addict that loves to travel and live off the grid. I am looking forward to taking my first extended trip this year, hopefully several months into the Southwest. I like motorhomes as well as travel trailers. Not sure which one of them I'll take for the trip.
I can do most maintenance and some modifications to RV's.
I love to cook and have been plant based for over three years and loving it!
Near Longview, Washington though not in town at all. We live west of town off Ocean Beach Highway about halfway between Longview and Cathlamet.
We have an Avion 32' TT, a 77 Newell motorhome that we are refurbishing and a 40' 94 Monaco Executive.
Very kind and helpful, had two great nights of sleep here. The quietest spot we've stayed our whole trip! Very relaxing!
We are very grateful for the two nights we were able to stay here with fly000boy. Our hosts were so warm and hospitable, we couldn't have asked for anything else. I was able to fill a lifelong desire to see Mt. St. Helens in person and it was one of the best things we've done on our extended time on the road. I can't say thank you enough and I hope that we will see you again!!
This was our first experience staying with a host from this site. If they are an example of what Boondockers Welcome Hosts are like, then we look forward to meeting many more Hosts.
"fly000boy" was very prompt to answer all of my correspondence, provided a flat, secluded wooded place for us to park.
They invited us into their lovely home where we chatted like we were old friends. They even offered an electrical hookup for us since I have to sleep with a c-pap machine.
They were willing to have us back for a night on our return trip, but plans changed and we will be unable to take them up on that. We do, however, look forward to our next trip to Washington and perhaps seeing them again.
We stayed overnight in this beautiful and very quiet location. I was able to observe some deer coming out for their evening meal right on the property. Linda came out to welcome us...since Dave was 'kicking back' in his recliner. In all fairness...he had just broken his heel! In spite of his ailment, Dave was able to give us super accurate directions to their beautiful home and offered electricity, water and access to their wifi. We camped in a slide-in camper/pick-up and had no problem with accessing the property. Thanks again to Linda and Dave....come over to Colorado sometime and we will host you!
Dave and Lynda are simply wonderful. They responded very quickly to messages through BW. The directions to their place were perfect in spite of the remote location. When they were unable to meet us for our arrival they left a note explaining everything. In the morning they came to check to make sure we were well. They invited us to come sit with them and get to know one another, and it was simply wonderful. They are so warm, loving, generous and kind. They left an impression on our whole family, and we will keep them in our prayers as we continue on our journey. If you have the opportunity, take advantage of meeting this great couple.
Dave and Lynda are most welcoming and gracious hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. Dave gives good directions to their property, which is up a hilly, but easily navigateable and well maintained paved country road. Their gravel driveway and turning area should be fine for most RVs. Dave used 2x6s on one side to level my Class B RV. Their acreage is very private and peaceful and I felt very safe on their property. The only sounds I heard from a neighbor were a rooster crowing and a horse neighing! You will enjoy your stay!
