We've been RVing for a few years now and have done some interesting trips. One trip was a cross country trip. We go camping in the Colorado Rockies frequently. We've gone on three long trips. Our first trip was a cross country trip from San Diego through the southern tier of states to St. Augustine, Florida. Then we toured the Pacific Northwest stopping at Redwoods Nat'l Park, Crater Lake, Olympia Nat'l Park plus the entire Oregon and Washington coastline. From there, we headed to Glacier Nat'l Park and finally Yellowstone Nat'l Park before heading home. In 2016, we took 2 1/2 months and drove to Alaska stopping in numerous places in both Canada & Alaska. It was an amazing journey. We're now planning a trip to South America.
I'm a good problem solver and somewhat of a jane of all trades.
We have 3 dogs & a cat. Sometimes, our cat, Abby, travels with us. Our husky mix is 15.5 yrs old and doesn't act her age. She still acts like a much younger dog. Our other dog, Ari, was found in the desert of Arizona on our cross country trip. She's a mutt but is the greatest little dog anyone would want. We just added another little mutt found abandoned in Houston. Her name is Shelby & she loves to smile and howl!
When we're traveling, we stay at Walmarts whenever it's possible. We have never encountered any problems and have found the stores to be very accommodating.
I was raised in Missouri but have called Colorado home since 1971.
We've got a 22 ft, 2018 Rockwood Mini Lite 2109s travel trailer and pull it with a 19 ft GMC Sierra pick up.
Host was friendly and accommodating, and the site itself was in a quiet, idyllic setting. Our dog was able to run around to her heart's content in the spacious front yard. Nothing more we could really ask for, and we highly recommend staying at this spot while you're in the Denver area!
This was my first opportunity to use Boondocker's Welcome and couldn't have been happier with the experience. I'd already stayed a few weeks in the Denver area but had run into time limits at the campground I was at, and of course, came down with a cold/flu as my time expired. I was over the worst, but felt I wasn't ready to get back on the road south-so the day before I had to leave I sent JanJack a message and received a reply in a couple of hours that I was welcome to spend a couple of nights with them. It was exactly what I needed. Lovely house and yard - feels like country with cows, horses and chickens all around, but it's still in the suburbs. Nice street to walk the dog and our hosts simply couldn't have been more gracious. I felt so much better after I left. Ready to face the next leg of my trip. I wish I hadn't been sick so we could have talked more as they have tons of great stories. Electric was great, flat parking, and if and when I'm back through Denver will look them up again. As we say in the south "good people". Thanks again!!!!
In less then 5 hrs of my first email. I was parked, plugged in and comfortably out of the rain. There response time was incredible and both hosts were very kind. I am greatfull that this world has people like these hosts.
We received a positive response to our request within hours. Planned on one night but because of the recommendations by Jan we stayed an extra night. Could not have been better. Thanks Jan.
What a perfect break on the long drive home (Utah to Ontario). Enjoyed a peaceful night and, above all, we loved meeting JanJack. Their adventures since retirement (and plans for more) would inspire anyone. They're perfect hosts and we welcome them as guests to our home any time.
