The neighborhood was so interesting and historical.
Do watch out for the dogs as they are very large and rambunctious. As she warned us ,they will jump up on you.
Sue and her playful dogs met us as we approached the house. Sue was very helpful showing us where to park and offering electric and water. However, the day was young as we had arrived mid afternoon and still had a long journey ahead of us so we continued driving several more hours. Hopefully, we can visit again when we are in the area and are not in a rush. Thanks Sue for your generosity.
Loved the remote quiet, host was friendly and helpful..
Thank you for hosting..
I can't recommend Sue enough. She was very helpful and accomodating. I really enjoyed my stay here.
We enjoyed our stay here for two days. This place faces 8 acres of woods and is a treasure. The host was available when we had a question and was a gracious host. Our dog loved her dogs and loved playing with them when they were outside. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and would definitely stay here again.
Sue was a wonderful host! Very gracious and welcoming while also hands off so you could enjoy your stay in peace. Photo is slightly deceiving as the location with power is more or less right up against her house. Only complaint is that even though we are dog lovers, especially golden retrievers, our brand new car that we just purchased a month ago is now covered in scratches and claw marks from her over-eager dogs. Perhaps scheduling a more narrow arrival time with the host could ensure the dogs aren't out when you pull up? Overall, very friendly with a location that is easy to access Savannah and the surrounding areas.
We enjoyed our stay at Goosarosa. Once you get to Sue's yard it is like you are on an island all by yourself. She is still working on training her youngest Golden Retriever so it's best to have some old clothing on before you first get here because the young one is very friendly and will try to climb all over you with dirty paws :)
Thank you for the stay, Sue!
Nice quiet spot yet close to downtown Savannah and Skidaway Island State Park.
I was able to park in the host’s big front yard in order to get several hours of sun for my solar. Great strong Verizon cell signal. Easy in and out, just go slow and mind the bumps and such on the driveway. Driveway was on the right shortly after the second dead end street sign.
The host met me when I arrived and showed me where I could park. Very nice and accommodating. The one dog is very rambunctious as mentioned! Expect you and your vehicle to get jumped up against and scratched up as I and my truck was. And your warm hood of your vehicle may get visited by a cat in the evenings.
Thanks so much for allowing me to stay here!
It was a hot day and Sue got me settled in with some electric and air-conditioning very quickly. Sue’s place is very green with critters and room to maneuver. Nice stay, thanks Sue..
Sue was a very friendly and accommodating host. Would stay there again.
Thank you again Sue
Sue was very sweet and accommodating. The location is close to Savannah and made for a perfect stay location for where I wanted to visit. The location is quiet and felt like a getaway.
I will say, her dogs are not well trained. When I first arrived one of them jumped on me repeatedly, scratched my back, and messed up the clothes I was hoping to wear that night. I had a friend stop by and they jumped on his car, scratching it. Once they get used to you they aren’t bad. But be aware.
Great private, convenient, shady location. Sue was a gracious hostess and we enjoyed our stay. Look forward to maybe staying again in a cooler time of the year.
The setting was beautiful - very peaceful, quiet, and secluded. Sue, the host, was very nice and friendly. We saw her at the beginning and the end of our two-day stay.
The electricity was a little iffy because it was plugged into a surge protector that tripped multiple times with the AC running and had to be reset. Sue showed us where to do that. We're planning to be back in the area in several weeks and will stay there again if it's available. We recommend Goosaraosa!
If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful location that is full of trees, this is the place. 10 minute drive to downtown and friendly host.
Sue is a wonderful host. Her place was so peaceful. We definitely would like to be invited back.
Thanks Sue for the hospitality. Wish I could of stayed longer as I had planned but the virus thing did not permit touring of Savannah. Take care and be safe!
Enjoyed my stay - host was accommodating with elec and water hook-up. We did not have a chance for campfire as it rained. Would stay with this host again.
Very private, quiet, and with hookups available. Sue was very generous and provided a nice place to stay for a few days away from it all.
A secluded place to stay, and a very quiet and dark place for a good night's sleep. Very conveniently located for all things Savannah.
Sue was very welcoming, accommodating and has 2 of the best dogs ever. Great, quiet, secluded spot under large oak trees. 5 stars for this spot
Thanks for hosting us on our trip
Sue was very welcoming, providing 15A power and water. Her acreage is quiet and private. Just be aware the driveway is narrow with low hanging branches.
I had a great time with our host, she even showed me around some. I learned about some of the local history and enjoyed the area very much. I will be back for sure! Thanks again!
Sue was a wonderful host! The road she lives on is a dead end.
Beautiful area near historical parks and a short walk to a boat landing. I hope to visit again!
Will definitely stay again when I come thru Savannah. Great level spot that could be pulled into, plenty of space for my trailer and rig. Far out enough that it was peaceful at night (I heard an owl for the first time) but close enough that you could be In downtown Savannah or on skidaway island in no time. My dog especially loved the hosts 2 golden retrievers.
Thanks again for everything
This is a great location to go see Savannah. Quiet area and you could hear owls at night. There are some low branches to be aware of and her friendly dogs tend to jump around you sometimes after coming out of the pond.
We recommend staying here if you are looking to explore Savannah
I had a wonderful, long stay. Enjoyed our conversations and being tucked away among the trees.
Super convenient location between our stops in Savannah and Skidaway Island. We Host was very pleasant and we had a quiet and great nights sleep!
We had a good conversations and a meal with our host in a wooded area not far from Savannah. Close to shopping, hiking and sightseeing. Very friendly dogs and an elusive cat. Really enjoyed our time here. Had water and electric which was appreciated. Great temps this time of year.
Suewernersbach is a great host! Great spot to stay with plenty of room. Electric and water if needed. Upon arrival to the address proceed all the way back on the driveway between the houses facing the street. @ 1/8 mile back on the drive is the home. The location is perfect for exploring the greater Savannah area. During our visit we spent plenty of time in Savannah, also visited Wormsloe, Tybee and kayaked the river above the port. Susan's Golden Retrievers are friendly and welcoming. The younger dog can be a bit rambunctious and likes to jump. Weather during our late November stay was perfect!
Sue was a wonderful host, I enjoyed meeting her and chatting about RVing, home and pets.
Our first contact with Georgia state was a nice experience, host very accomodating.
Beautiful piece of property! Great location to tour historical Savannah and Tybee Island. Enjoyed meeting our host. Of course pup Emmet loved having some playmates! Thanks so much!
Beautiful, quiet location, host was excellent and very accommodating!
The dogs are lovely, spirited and fun to play with!
Thank you for having us, and if we come back through Georgia we'll definitely come by and say hi!
Goosarosa is a gracious host and was very flexible in terms of where we could park and allowing us to use our generators and power. The location is so quiet and peaceful, yet close to Savanna. Dogs are really sweet and fun too! Thanks again!
This is a beautiful location and the host
is quick to respond to queries. We were really looking forward to meeting her and her two dogs as we are dog lovers.
Regrettably our rig was too wide for the road leading to the parking area. The few miles leading to the location are a bit narrow, with no shoulder. Tricky navigation for units wider than 7 ft., probably not wise to attempt at night. The location is serene and lined with magnificent trees. This location is a tranquil gem of natural beauty.
