We met when we were both were serving in the Army. in the Army at Ft. Lee, VA during our AIT. We became Arm Buddies for life in 1989.
We are semi retired and time for us to finally Slow Down. We have so enjoyed being Hosts for other Boondockers We too love bookdocking and traveling as well. Hopefully we will soon be using Boondockers Welcome as guests rather than Hosts. We look forward to meeting you all out there!!
Doug is a diesel mechanic and a welder/fabricator by trade. Cindy plays around with graphic designing logos, decals, graphic t-shirts etc on her good days.

Anywhere just about
We are traveling in our 1987 Holiday Rambler Imperial Motorhome. We tow our car on a toll dolly.
I appreciate the safe, quiet place to stay. I enjoyed visiting with these hosts again.
Doug and Cindy were getting their Class C ready to head North while we were there. They greeted us warmly and came out help us get our 35-ft fiver parked under some trees to give it some shade. When a couple of limbs hung too low, they were perfectly happy to let us trim them back. Speaking of 35-ft fiver, that, with a long bed truck are certainly at the very top length limit – not due to parking space, they have plenty of space, but due to getting the trailer turned off a narrow road and down a pretty steep embankment from the road to where the drive levels out. We actually missed the turn on the first pass and had to drive about five miles down the road to find a place to turn around, but that turned out to be a blessing of sorts – it was easier to turn left into their drive than to make the right turn the directions suggested. Would we stay there again? Meeting Doug and Cindy and the location, absolutely yes, and we had a great time – but with a 35-foot trailer, we would have to think about it.
We had a great stay our host was wonderful and they went out of their way to be sociable. If there was a rating system we would give them a five Star. If we are in the area again we will ask if we can stay again.
We really enjoyed our stayover. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shown where to park. We enjoyed visiting with our hosts and had a quiet and peaceful nights sleep. We would love to stay there again whenever we're in the area.
The hosts were so welcoming they made me feel right at home. I can tell they have tons of knowledge to share. It is great that their property is so near the highway. I look forward to stopping there again in my travels.
Living Life Randomly Acres was the most helpful host we have stayed with so far. We are newbies and they are experienced RV’ers who asked us what challenges we had been presented with thus far. Everything that we mentioned, they had a solution that we found extraordinarily helpful. We hope to find such a wealth of knowledge among fellow RV’ers as we progress in this lifestyle. They shared so much good information that we’re sure much of it will be forgotten, but hopefully recallable as situations call for it. They had a motor home in process of being redone, and a bus that has been featured in Bus Conversions Magazine that they renovated. We were very impressed! Beautiful property and so much neat stuff on it. We definitely hope to stay again if we ever find ourselves in this area!
You couldn't find nicer more accommodating hosts! It seemed like I was really on vacation--waited on me. We even had social distancing wine!! My dogs crazy loved it. When you visit remember to look at their Airbnb bus! They re built it themselves and it is adorable! Hope to make it back on another trip!
Puppy and I enjoyed a fun stop with interesting folks who are indeed Living Life Randomly, The coronavirus warnings meant our conversations took place at at least a six-foot distance, and Jack (puppy) loved exploring the environs and running in the yard. Nice people, great hosts.
Again the most nicest people you will ever meet. From accepting our last minute request and allowing us to stay an extra night because of weather to providing us a safe place during 2 tornado warnings they went above and beyond what was necessary. Great conversations with likewise people. We highly recommend and hope our paths cross once again.
PS. Be sure to check out their bus(campers)
Had a really nice night at Doug and cindy’s.
Very quiet location. Surrounded by national Forrest.
We shared a bowl of chili, a bottle of wine and a lot of fun conversation about shared interests and living in Wisconsin.
You must ask them to share their story of Coco the dog.
I have been invited back and will take them up on their generous hospitality
Although we were there first boon dockers guests, you would not have guessed it. They made us feel right at home and we have made two really good friends. Only meant to stay one night, but wanted to spend more time with them - this is what Boon dockers Welcome is all about, sharing our experiences and dreams over a glass of wine.
We had to change our plans at the last minute due to weather and they were very accommodating and gracious about the last minute change. I would recommend them highly
