We are a recently retired couple, Harry from a career in health care management; Elyse following years as a community relations manager with a national book chain. Harry is active runner, cyclist, and hiker, while Elyse can talk endlessly about books, while both of us actively volunteer with several local organizations. Now that our youngest child moved away, close to his brother in the PNW, and our daughter is sticking with her non-profit work in Africa, its time for us to finally spend some time traveling - both across the U.S., and hopefully abroad as well.
General handyman, though perhaps not the best for diagnosing and fixing mechanical problems. But happy to share areas to explore in the our community.
Not presently. Our beloved greyhound died a number of years ago, but we get our dog "fix" by actively volunteering at a local animal shelter. We look forward to meeting our guests pets. There are many wonderful trails nearby to go for walks.
We have stayed in NY, Michigan, Washington and Ohio and each site has been enjoyable.
South Dartmouth, MA; a town located on the southcoast of Massachusetts, bordering Buzzards Bay. We are on the way to Cape Cod, and about equidistant from Providence, RI and Boston. Our home is in a semi-rural section of town, with a mix of residential, private farms, and protected agricultural land while only a short drive to a harbor and town beaches.
Nucamp Teardrop Trailer
Quiet and respectful. Their little teardrop was adorable and they have got their processes nailed down. Really enjoyed meeting Smith Neck Hosts and look forward to heading out to their neck of the woods some day.
Guests were on their “maiden voyage” in their new camper. They were enjoying the learning process and had a great route planed. I hope their trip goes well and they stop by on their return
We enjoyed a visit from these wonderful people and their tiny trailer. Hope to meet up again sometime.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Smith Neck. The scenery is fantastic , the road was convenient and safe to bike into the village. The area that we we parked at was secluded and quiet for a peaceful stay. Thank you, Bob N Susan.
Arrived Friday afternoon for an overnight stay. Wish we could have stayed longer as the location was perfect to take in bike riding along the beautiful Dartmouth country roads and seaside. Our host greeted us after our arrival and made sure we had anything we needed, offered an electrical hookup, and gave us directions to the local brewery we were headed out to. Although the the site is not far off the main road we found it very peaceful and tranquil. Got a tour of their new teardrop which is a cousin to ours :-). We enjoyed exchanging details about our RVs and talked about our past trips and upcoming travel plans. A very pleasent stay and look forward to returning:-) Thank you Smith Neck Resort for making our first Boondockers Welcome stay great!
