We are John and Kathy, and try to get out as much as possible in our 40 year old camper. We love back-road country driving seeing both touristy and non touristy attractions. We love garage sale-ing, thrift stores and a good flea market. On our adventures I like to take loads of pictures, mostly of interesting bugs and mushrooms, while John likes exploring abandoned houses, barns and factories. I get a thrill out of using my metal detector to find old relics and the occasional penny, and while I do that, John likes to paddle any waterway he can.
The only animals we have currently are three cats, and they are the rightful owners of our land, or so they seem to think. So if you have dogs that chase/kill cats, please don't come to our property. Dogs are welcome and can have freedom here, but the cats being safe is our first propriety....They are accustomed to having a dog around. But we lost him this past winter and are waiting for the perfect dog to come into our lives.
We live in South Western Ontario outside the village of Clifford. It seems we are an hour from everything. Guelph is one hour south, Kitchener and Stratford one hour south west, Collingwood and Orangeville one hour east (ish) and beautiful Kincardine one hour due west.
We have two drivers. We do most of our tours with our Ford F 350 Dually with a '76 SixPac truck camper. But sometimes we like going all out vintage with our 1969 Ford F250 Camper Special.
Welcome to visit whenever they're in our neck of the woods and maybe stay a bit longer so we can become better acquainted.
Come any time here, your short stay was great and interesting.
Great visit with J&K, lots of similar interests. Vintage truck camper in great shape, pretty cool. Thanks for the treats and come back soon! I'll let you know of any upcoming abandonments.
we had very quiet and peaceful stay. what a beautiful area and wonderful hosts. Sorry we only had 1 day there. Oldbetzy2
Even though we were only staying one night we had a great time. VintageFordCampers made us feel welcomed and we appreciated the opportunity to tour the barn and see thier hidden treasures. We hope our paths cross again some time soon, we may even arrange another stay when the new barn is complete.
