Carl and I are a retired human resources specialist and a retired librarian/archivist who spend the winter in Florida and come back to Iowa for the summer. While we are in Iowa for the summer we would like to meet other RVers and talk about the RV life-style.
We have been camping in our 1999 Airstream travel trailer for 20 years and have picked up some knowledge of repair and maintenance.
We have a two-year old English Springer Spaniel. We travel with her in our travel trailer.
We love National Parks, State Parks, Bureau of Land Management sites, and Corps of Engineers Campgrounds.
We divide our time between Florida and Iowa. The boondocker's invitation is for our residence on a farm near What Cheer, Iowa.
We have a 1999 Airstream Safari which we pull with a 2017 Ram 1500.
My only regret is not being able to sit and visit with this couple. I was able to have a short conversation while my 6 year old and I loved on their Springer Spaniel and grand dog along for the trip. I hope our paths cross again!
Enjoyed the stories of their travels, especially doing the loop on their boat! Welcome back anytime, and we will stop in Iowa for a stay with them, the next time we pass through.
We enjoyed our peaceful night on the farm. The kids loved running near the corn field and it was fun to see the grain bins up close.
The hosts were so sweet to us and they had some extra veggies from their garden and they shared some with us.
We enjoyed chatting (socially distanced) with them and highly recommend this location
Carl and Glenda were welcoming hosts. Sat out by the fire ring and had a good time talking. Went over to nearby AMANA colonies for a day.
Had trouble finding place. Google took us to a house 1/4 mile away. Drove by their home twice but did not stop. Different name on mailbox and no barn. Finally made contact and all was well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Farm. Our hosts greeted us on arrival, made sure we were comfortable, and even built a (socially distant) fire where we sat and talked about books (we love books) and travel. We would have loved to stay longer. They are amazing and gracious hosts on a beautiful farm in some of the prettiest farmland we've seen in a while. We would definitely return. In fact, we hope to return some day.
What lovely couple and beautiful site! We so enjoyed meeting this charming couple and truly appreciated their wonderful hospitality. Many Thanks!
