After converting my 2019 Ram Promaster 2500 cargo van into a fully contained RV complete with solar I first hit the road in June of 2019 and haven't stopped since. I love my Gypsy lifestyle. Its such a blessing to be able to spend most of my time enjoying the tranquil beauty of nature. I prefer off grid as much as possible.
I was born and raised on the Central Oregon Coast. Now I spend my Summers in cool, shady high desert Mountain forests and Winters in the warm deserts of Nevada and Arizona. I still make it back to my home state of Oregon at least once a year.
I have done a lot of different things in my life so I have a broad scope of interests. These days I spend most of my time fine tuning the peaceful serenity of my minimalist lifestyle while mostly enjoying mobile technologies, writing and artwork.
I have a four year old female tabby I raised from a kitten She is my constant companion. Her name is Luna.
My favorite Boondocking locations have always been in forested areas preferably near water however more recently I have learned to appreciate the open beauty of the desert as well.
I was born in Toledo just fifteen minutes from the coastal town of Newport Oregon where I was raised. The closest thing to a home base is Mount Manzanita in NE California.
White, windowless 2019 Ram ProMaster Cargo Van self converted into a fully self contained RV complete with solar and A\C (Air Conditioner requires household outlet)
I enjoyed chatting a bit with VanChick, who is well-traveled in the West.
She declined to use electricity (solar-powered rig) or hook up to water.
Very quiet, she and her kitty. She's welcome back anytime.
We talked briefly with VanChick when she arrived. She needed an adapter on our 30-amp outlet to use her household air conditioner unit, but she had a brand-new adapter and got herself set up. (We've since ordered one in case this comes up in the future.) After that we wouldn't have known she was there--so quiet and respectful!
VanChick was an excellent guest. So quiet we hardly knew she was there! She is welcome back anytime.
The visit was short but We enjoyed our conversation , felt like we are on the same page , a very sweet person . A pleasure to have stay and hope she will come again spend more time. I will try to make it to the gem show in quartzite.this so I hope to see you there also . . Another wonderful boondocker who I do believe will be a life long friend. 👌❤️ Safe & Happy Trail !
VanChick was a wonderful guest! So quiet we hardly knew she was here. Had a nice visit when she first arrived, then again when she departed. Highly recommend this lovely guest to other hosts.
We enjoyed a pleasant evening with her, otherwise she was so quiet we hardly knew she was here. We would welcome her back.
VanChick arrived right on time, and after a bit of conversation and getting settled in, we didn't cross paths for the next couple days. She's got a nice new self contained rig and keeps to herself. She's welcome back any time.
Vanchick’s visit was a few day of enjoyable girl time. She arrived just before my friend came for a visit; we spend the evening chatting, enjoying, sharing, comparing our life’s journeys. I know I will see her again and am looking forward to it.
VanChick stayed for three nights, hubby met her briefly when she arrived after that not even a peep. Totally self contained, quiet, left no trace.
Quiet but very personable, we enjoyed having her visit. Would gladly host her again. Bogie
We really enjoyed hosting vanchick. She is pleasant and friendly and we were her first stop on her full-time RV adventure. As all new RVers she is working through her learning curve. She is eager to learn and was open to suggestions. We hope we see her again!
