I own a "ranchette" in Northeast Pennsylvania. I used to give riding lessons and work with special needs riders, but I'm pretty much retired now. I have only 5 horses left on this 8 acre property. I'm interested in RVing in the future, but until I do, I'd welcome people to stay here. I'm not far from Rickets Glenn State Park and Pinchot State Park. There's a supermarket within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. The big caveat is that the Rooster starts to crow early in the morning and there is absolutely no smoking because of the hay and the old barn that would go up like tinder. I have to say, it's beautiful here.
This is a ranch (kind of) so yes. I have chickens (which includes Roosters), quite a few cats, one dog and 5 horses.
It's called Sweet Valley, near Wilkes-barre, Pennsylvania.

We were traveling from northern Pennsylvania to Providence, Rhode Island and stopped for the night in Hunlock Creek. We spent a very quiet and restful night there next to our host's great barn. There's even a nice grocery market nearby. Our host was very cordial and helpful, even allowing us 15 amp electrical service on a chilly Fall evening. Great stop.
The hostess is a wonderful. She was there to meet us and made us feel welcomed and given us a dozen of fresh eggs from her hens.. The place is beautiful, nice view, had a very good peaceful sleep. Enjoyed watching her horses, hens running around and the rooster was used as our alarm clock. Will definitely return.
Thank you so much ....
Wonderful experience! Level site between beautiful barn, grazing horses, and chicken coop. Gracious and welcoming host gave us a dozen farm fresh eggs to send us on our way.
I can’t rave enough about our terrific stay at Shekinah Stables! From our host greeting us, to helping guide us into the site, and then again when I got my truck stuck, she went well above and beyond all of our expectations. She let us use the electricity and water from her barn, provided great company when she joined us for dinner, and even gave us a dozen fresh eggs from her hens! If you value warm and friendly souls, you’d do well to stay here for a visit.
Very quiet night. She gave us water and power and a dozen fresh farm eggs. We had to leave early but highly recommend it.
Very friendly helpful host. Ricketts glen. Great walk.
I so enjoyed my night here. It was fun to see the horses and enjoy the farm setting. It was the perfect stopover making a long road trip a pleasant adventure! :)
Enjoyed being with the chickens and horses. Host is very gracious and kind
Thanks for your hospitality
We had the most amazing stay at this location. We absolutely love country towns and little farms so this spot was perfect. Chickens, horses, and fresh eggs as well as a nice quiet place to park. We did not hear the roosters or cars on the road at night. There’s a grocery store very close as well as many beautiful places to enjoy the nature. The host was beyond helpful. She gave us wonderful directions in, and even gave us a dozen of fresh eggs from her chickens. We appreciate all she did for us in making our stay so comfortable. We only planned to stay one night but enjoyed it so much we stayed two (and probably would’ve stayed longer if we didn’t have to be somewhere else). Thanks again for a wonderful stay!!!
We arrived a little later than anticipated and were greeted warmly and really looked after .Her site is dead level, easy to access , quiet and comfortable with horses and chickens. We took advantage of the offered electricity as the day was hot and very sticky. We had a very engaging and informative exchange of ideas whilst sharing a wine in our RV.
Our hostess kindly offered us some "Green" coloured fresh, free range eggs - gratefully received .
Thank you Alphamare for your time and generosity. You gave us a great time and we hope to reciprocate if you come to our part of the world.
We wish you well for your pending RV purchase.

Going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. What a strong person! Shekinah is the perfect place for a restful break from the road. We welcome her to Boondockers Welcome, and would gladly reccomend Alphamare!
