Even though they were not around they allowed us to park at their place where his daughter gave us a warm welcome. Thank you! :-)
We stayed one night at bdweir, a friendly and welcoming man. We recommend a stop at his place.
A recommended stop for anyone who wants information about "real" boondocking locations in the southwest! We had a great conversation over tea, comparing Arizona and Southern California boondocking spots. Turns out we've been to many of the same places as he has. Maybe we'll run into each other again down there some time. Despite the rain, we had a quiet, peaceful sleep here.
We had a great overnight stay with PEI Bob as his friends know him. We had nice fire, good chat about our trips and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of Rocky Point. We wish Bob all the best on his travels and hope he swings by our way some time on his way home. (It's only a 'tiny' detour!)
We stayed in early October, 2015, and had a great stay. After getting turned around and lost on our way to his house, we called our host. He drove several miles out of his way to personally guide us back to his place. Despite several things happening that demanded his attention, he still made time to have a good visit with us. Unfortunately we were leaving PEI the next day, but we had a beautiful drive from his place to the bridge....much of it along the water.
We had a great time staying at Bob's place, and had fun talking about boondocking. The area is very scenic too and great for biking. We hope to see Bob again at his favorite boondocking location. Thanks!
We had a wonderful two day stay with Bob and his family and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay with Bob. Very quiet and restful location. Appreciated his hospitality and look forward to seeing him in October.
We stayed overnight with Bob in a nice quiet location only a few K's from the Port Joie National Park. Great to be able to spend time with Bob and learn all about his boondocking experiences
We spent a couple nights at Bobs place while we toured PEI. Weather was cold, foggy and rainy but the hospitality was warm.
We were lucky enough to catch Bob before he left for the winter and had a great visit! He gave us a lot of useful information about PEI and the southwest. Hope to meet him again!
