My husband, David and I live on a farm near Ayr, NE. We are retired and also like camping in our fifth wheel. I like to spend free time quilting, and David likes to help our sons with the farming operation. We are also busy baby sitting from time to time.
David worked many winters at his brothers cabinet shop on Hastings, NE. I have worked in many elderly people’s homes helping them out and with the school system or baby sitting mentally challenged children. I also worked five years cooking for a family in Hastings. We’ve raised five children.
We have two dogs. We travel with Daisy, our reduced mini dachshund. Rambo, our very friendly people loving German Shepard stays home on the backyard. He is not smart around moving vechicles so has lost his privileges of having free rein of the farmyard.
We loved Utah along the river and go to many state and national parks.
We live two and a half miles outside of Ayr, NE.
First time in Nebraska and the hosts helped renew my faith in man (woman) kind. Beautiful farm, beautiful people and beautiful Rambo. Hoping to meet the on the coast one day
Fantasy Farms is a nice and easily accessible BW place while traveling through Nebraska. The hosts are super nice and the spot with 30 amp access is level and protected by trees. They even have a fire pit to enjoy if a guest so chooses. Would definitely stay again if our travels take us their way. Really, really nice people!
Our first Boondockers Welcome stay was fabulous. Our hosts were so nice. They were perfect hosts. We were able to spend lots of time chatting with them as well as other family members who were visiting. Loved hearing about their farm and mutual interest in quilting projects. We needed to do laundry and grocery shop during our stay and they helped us with directions. The property is beautiful and peaceful. We did use their 30 amp electric hookup, and the grassy area we parked on was level. We hope to stay here again when going through this area. We feel like we have made new friends.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your farm. We really enjoyed the company and the beauty that Nebraska provides. I was quite amazed at the quality of the roads in NE, the quality of the roads to access Fantasy Farms and the quietness of the hosts location. Other states caused us a flat tire and the hosts were very gracious in accommodating our late arrival. Thank you again for a wonderful time.
Hosts were very accomodating and provided us with a lovely site on grass with shade trees. Highly recommend!!
Large level grass parking
2 bars at&t
Would stay again
Really, we had no idea Nebraska would be so lovely. The hosts greeted us on arrival and showed us where to hook up our electricity and access water. We would have loved to visit more, but a chat at a socially acceptable distance was all we could enjoy in these difficult times. The hosts were gracious and the location was amazing. We would definitely return to Fantasy Farms.
I enjoyed my two day stopover very much. Vickie and her husband were generous and gracious hosts. They even took the time to arrange a ride in a combine one afternoon. A completely new and interesting experience for this New Englander!! Nice breezes up on their hillside, pretty sunsets, it was just perfect.
We arrived later than we planned due to a flat tire. The hosts had no problem with this and were there to greet us at 10pm. Our stay was short, but we felt welcome and were provided electric and water, which made it very convenient. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area.
Thanks for letting us stay. A beautiful stay at a peaceful farm with amazing people.
We had a wonderful time. The hosts were so nice and the place was peaceful and beautiful. We were greeted in the morning by the birds! A great place to spend the night.
We can't thank these wonderful people enough for hosting us. Due to the wet weather we couldn't park in the yard where the electric plug is. They ran a cord from the garage so we could plug in. We talked past my usual bed time. This is a beautiful working farm. To this old farm boy it smelled like home.
