I am mother of two children, one dog, two cats and 20(ish) chickens. I am a visiting nurse, and my husband, Dave, is a Union Carpenter. We are working on making ourselves mobile so that when Dave retires (in two and half years!) we can realize our dream to have geographic freedom. In the meantime, we are enjoying sharing our beautiful homestead with Boondockers, Hipcampers, and traveling every chance we get.
We are friendly and welcoming. We recognize that sometimes, as hosts and guests, you want to hang out and socialize, and sometimes you want to be left alone to do your thing. Either way, we are happy to accommodate. Both of us have been traveling and having adventures most of our lives, spent many years in the Army, and work in trades that have many practical applications. Dave is an all around fix-it kind of guy - so, of course, that is always handy. I am a nurse and Mom so I have good first aide and improvising skills.
We have a dog, two cats and about 20 chickens. So far, we travel with our dog and leave the other animals home with a pet sitter.
Since we are boondocking newbies - just my brother in law's driveway in Cape May, NJ. What I love about that is that we can have all the benefits of visiting without imposing on them as house guests, I can just walk "next door" to go home, and the kids love getting to run back and forth between each other's houses.
My home town is Hamilton, NJ and Dave's is Cape May, NJ. We are currently living in Stockton, NJ.
Refurbished Cruise America Class C motorhome, renamed and painted "Majestic". We call her Gracie. No bump outs or awnings.
Very secluded very nice spot. Both spots have a fire pit and some chairs and stuff. The host was very nice and accommodating. We ended up extending our stay one night.
A suggestion for anyone with clearance issues take Highway 202 into Stockton
The hosts put a a lot of time and effort into maintaining the sites and it shows! Great location! I would definitely recommend checking it out.
They couldn’t have been more welcoming! Loved the tiki torches lighting the way to our spot.
We arrive much later than planned so really just needed a place to rest our bones and head out in the AM!
Thanks you guys!!
This stay was awesome. We really enjoyed foraging for berries and catching fire flies. The hook up did not work for our AC on our 13k btu with everything else turned off. We ended up getting a generator. But,with all that aside, this was such an amazing stay and such a beautiful area!
Our friendly hosts greeted us at their lovely wooded site with small creek and nature trails. We safely negotiated the challenging entrance in our 40’ RV and had a quiet relaxing overnight stay.
Very accommodating hosts welcomed us on our way to and from (several days later)
a family wedding. Lovely quiet wooded site area next to small stream and with nearby hiking trails. Our 40’ coach was a fine fit using host’s posted instructions. Convenient location near services and beautiful historic area.
We had had a hard day and Jen's place was just what we needed. Thanks Jen, for your suggestions and a special thanks to the kids for showing us their creek and special hideouts! The space is very private and peaceful. Best of luck with your future plans!

Thanks to Jen and Dave, my first night at Boondockers was fantastic, nice quiet spot...see you in NZsometime!
The parking area was easily accessible and very private. Jen came down to welcome me and guided me in. The site easily accommodated my 40'+ Winnie but it's always good to have reassurance! Very warm and friendly greeting. The site had 30 amp and water as well as a beautiful outdoor setting for relaxing. Absolutely beautiful area of the country and, if you have a couple of days, great small towns (and wonderful restaurants) to visit for sightseeing and antiquing.
Hosts are incredibly gracious and kind. We had a great time talking with them and wonderful nights rest on their property. The site sits next to the creek below the hill their house is on and is surrounded by trees. There’s a huge fire pit and table to picnic at. It’s very private and beautiful. This beats most campgrounds we’ve stayed at! I really wish we could have stayed longer. Also, I highly recommend the fresh eggs. They are delicious!!
It was great to meet and visit with Jen and Dave. They have a beautiful property. The area is very quiet. If you go there, I would suggest getting there from Hwy 202, which is much quicker than the back road we chose (can’t remember the name). Would highly recommend a stay with Jen and Dave.
Generous, welcoming hosts. We enjoyed getting to know them. Beautiful surroundings. While there we visited Washington Crossing, took a steam train ride, and played an amazing mini golf course. A+ hosts!
We had a wonderful time at Jen and Dave’s for our very first BW stay. We live only an hour away and are still breaking in our new 23’ trailer. Dave was there to guide us into a pull in spot and leave room for their other BW guest in a 34’ motor home.
They left us plenty of wood in the fire pit for a nice fire the first night. Next morning we bought a dozen of their fresh eggs and had amazing omelets.
After a nice day tour Lambertville and Frenchtown we headed back late day 2. Woke up next morning to a joyous chorus of birds greeting the sun.
Spot is shaded by huge trees so we didn’t get much solar. Ran our generator for an hour one to top up batteries. The camp area is near a quiet country road with little traffic and you enter a gravel entrance before their driveway. Their driveway is paved and leads up a hill. The house is far enough away that we only heard the roosters during our stay.
Would stay again.
Love this area of the Delaware River Valley.
What a perfect place to stay. We had a great visit with our hosts. They made us feel very welcome. They have done a superior job at creating a beautiful place to park the RV.
We hope to cross paths again. Thanks for everything.
