1967 Silver Eagle bus conversion
We had a long hot day before getting here and the set up was perfect. We enjoyed some leftover Memphis bbq and hit the road early for Denver. Leroy could not have been any more accommodating and would highly recommend this spot.
We only stayed for one night since we were just passing through but it was a nice quiet night. Thank you for letting us stay!
Thanks for the hospitality, Leroy. We enjoyed our overnight stay. You have a great, quiet location.
We are very grateful to be able to stay here. The host was communicative and gracious enough to allow us to stay even though they needed to attend to family business. The pull through was a nice feature for larger rigs, although we didn't need it. This location was close enough to Wichita to be convenient but rural enough that my children saw their first lightning bugs here.
We showed up right at sunset, just before LeRoy and Anna got home. We had just set up, so we met up and started talking. They showed us their Silver Eagle camper. We sat and visited awhile. We had a lot in common and had a great time together. They walked us back to our motor home since they had a flashlight and we visited some more in our motor home. Great people. Great stop on our way north from home. We'd definitely stop again if we were in the area.
When we arrived at Mr. Willis’s place he greeted us at the drive, helped us back in to a great spot with a 50 amp hook-up and then invited us in to their awesome classic vintage tour bus. They were just incredibly nice and warm folks. We hope to stay at their place again and to see them on the road.
Real nice couple, live in there Silver Eagle conversion in a big barn. Invite guests to join them for real southern cafe
Stayed with our hosts for 2 nights. We were far enough from Wichita that it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to be downtown in 20 minutes. As all boondockers do we swapped stories about traveling and shared recommendation for places to stay around the country. They had plenty of space for our 23 ft vehicle.
