We spent all of 2012 (and some of 2013) on the road in our 45ft. motor coach. We now live on a 1/2 acre in Northwest Houston (Cypress Area) just minutes from US 290.
We have a house full of girls here. Kalyn (17), Hannah (15), Megan (13), and depending on when you come we usually have a high school foreign exchange student living with us as well. For 2017-2018 our extra family members are Cristina (15) from Spain, and Siew (16) from Thailand.
We have a small 6 seater plane (Troy is a pilot), and we love to travel. We spent all of November 2015 in Europe touring Spain, Germany, France, and London. In August 2017 we spent 30 days on a tour across Canada.
Now that we have traveled the USA, Europe, and Canada by RV - we will be starting something completely new in 2018 - exploring our seas, coasts, and the Caribbean! November 2017 we purchased our first "RV" for the water - a large sailboat with everything our RV has for amenities and sleeps 7. If you are lucky and happen to be here when we are going for a day sail & don't have anyone else with the family we would be happy to bring you along!
We look forward to meeting RVers from all over. You can just spend a quiet night alone at our place or visit with our family - either is OK with us! If you are staying over a weekend we do invite all our guests to attend Church with us - but don't worry, it's a fun casual church (non-demonitional) so jeans & t-shirt is the standard attire (perfect for RVers). Why not enjoy a good message on Sunday morning with us - after all its a small price to pay for a free RV site with electric!!!
Owner of Cypress RV Center (Service, Repair, Sales, and RV Rentals). Our service garage is less than a minute away and gives priority service to full-timers or anyone needing emergency service while on vacation.
Busnut - we have a 45 ft MCI motorcoach bus for conversion into the perfect custom family full time rig.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. "Bear" is a pure bread Australian Shepherd and "Chloe" is a mutt from the pound. Our two cats are both rescues. "Speedy" joined us after one of our employees quit and left town - leaving her cat at our office! "Nelson" appeared on our front covered porch one rainy night and never left. We got his name from the vet, who checked his chip and informed us his name and that his last reported family turned him into an animal shelter.

MCI 102DL3 motorcoach Our "ocean RV" is a Hunter 340 Sailboat at a marina in Kemah, TX.
We were only there for one evening, but the hosts were kind and accommodating, and offered great hookups! Hosts are very knowledgeable about RV life & fulltime RV living.
Tgmarrs is a welcoming couple with a busy and active family.
The driving instructions were 100% great. No problems.
The instructions and layout for Tgmarrs were clear and the host helped with anything. We stayed in 35 ft 5er with slides on both sides and 13.5 ft height.
We had a great stay with Tgmarrs. It is an urban area but was plenty quiet and easy to access. Nice family! Would not hesitate to stay again. Thanks Tgmarrs family!
Troy and his girls were very welcoming to our family. Got us hooked up and gave us valuable information for traveling full time with kids. We needed an extra night in the area and he graciously offered his business lot since he had another boondocker the same day. Thank you tgmarrs!
We parked with Tgmarrs for 3 days while in Houston, and had an overall positive experience. I highly recommend getting there before dark, and I would not recommend a bigger rig than about 30'. They have a nice long driveway, but it's tricky to get the angle right to get into. It's one of those driveways that is narrow at the beginning, and has a HUGE ditch on either side of the driveway as you come in off the street, so if you don't get the angle JUST right, your tire will go off that edge and you'll be calling GoodSam. (Likely need a few repairs as well). Not a ton of room to maneuver in front, either. It was probably the most nerve wracking back up job of our 6 month tour. Once you get PAST that where you are IN the driveway, there is more room to maneuver, but the space for the RV next to the house and garbages is also pretty narrow because of a brick column, so again, only if you are super confident in your backing up abilities. So that's the space you're working with. Water and power are easily accessible, we never did get the sewage hooked up, but we were only there for 3 days, so didn't need it too badly.
Our schedules just didn't mesh up so much while we were there, but we did manage to finally meet on the last night and had a wonderful time chatting! A really wonderful family, and very interesting exchange students. Our daughter really got along with their youngest, so it was hard to get her to leave when it was time for bed! They invited us to go out on their boat and join them at their yacht club for fun and games, but we were unable to due to scheduling challenges. They were super communicative and easy to get a hold of.
I definitely recommend staying with them, especially if you have a smaller rig, and you are confident in your back up skills.
Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Very helpful and generous regarding our needs. We have had a nice chat with Troy before we left. Wish we have had more time with them in this area. We do not hesitate to highly recommend this host.
I'd like to commend Tgmarrs for getting back to me quickly after I contacted them to inquire about our initial boondocking opportunity. Because of my own schedule, it looks like we won't get to make this connection, but I definitely look forward to meeting them in person in the near future!
The Marrs were very accommodating and made it very easy for us to come and go as we needed. We had everything we could ask for; and hopefully didn't cause to much of a ruckus with our 4 children!
I would definitely recommend you reach out to them if you need a place to crash while in the area.
This couple could not have been more helpful. They gave us a spot even though there was already a boondocker there. Very interesting conversation and we shared much in common. I hope he and his family make it to our place so we can return the favor and get to know them even better.
Barry & Stacie Nobles
Great place and Great people! We had a great time staying with these folks. Don't miss this spot.
We had a lovely stay with Troy and Kari and their beautiful daughters and exchange students. They welcomed us into their family and we attended a musical function in which the children participated. The location is good and the parking spot flat and comfortable. Troy was particularly helpful with information regarding the motorhome and we look forward to keeping in touch with them.
We stayed a couple of nights here, one night at their home and another at their business.
Their home and business are located in a nice suburb and there is hardly any traffic overnight.
It was so nice after a year on the road to be able to take advantage of Troy's kind offer to go to his business so that we could attend to the accumulation of tasks that needed doing on our RV. Nice to meet all the family and really appreciative of all the assistance given us to get a place sorted to store our RV while we go away for 6 weeks and to get topped up with water and get our tanks emptied was an added bonus.
