My wife - Jeanne - and I retired in 2017, and now travel full-time: summers by trailer, winters overseas. Our home base is Seattle, where we lived for most of our lives and were professionally involved in the community. Most recently I worked for the city's Transportation Department on major construction projects. Jeanne owned and managed a community relations firm, also working on large projects with both developers and government agencies.
I can teach the ancient oriental board game "go" - having played for several decades myself. My Excel programming skills are reasonably good, and transferrable. And I've learned a few things about making my wife happy, probably not transferrable.
No pets at present.
A friend's riverside property in Walla Walla, Washington; a tree-lined residential street in Ballard, Washington and my sister's driveway in Salt Lake City, UT.
Seattle, Washington - specifically the Greenlake neighborhood, although we have long association with Fremont and Capitol Hill as well.
Our tow vehicle is a 2018 Kia Sorento - a mid-size SUV. The trailer is a 2018 Alto, manufactured by Safari Condo. The trailer looks like an all aluminum teardrop when being towed, but the entire roof pivots upward from a hinge across the front when parked. The result is a spacious light-filled abode with a dinette, stove, sink, refrigerator, bathroom and a bigger than queen sized bed, with a 6'10" ceiling. The trailer has solar panels on the roof, and drive motors on the two wheels (for maneuvering the trailer independently of the tow vehicle).
