We met when I was almost 14 & he was 17 & we married 3 years later in 1968 & lived in Key West shortly where he was with the Army. He then went to Korea & went back home to GA, after he returned we have never been seperated again. We have 3 childre, 5 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter & love our family dearly & will miss them once we hit the road to travel, go we must :-) We have downsized by moving out of our home of 20 years & made it a rental home. We built an apartment at our daughter's house so that traveling would be easier not having to worry about who is keeping the home fires burning (cutting the grass :-) So if the Good Lord is will & the creek don't rise we hope to see more of the land that God has blessed us with. We would love for our first big trip to be a return to Key West where we started this journey.
My husband was in the glass business, starting out driving a rack truck & then working the tempering line, insulating, cutting etc. until he became shipping manager & remained there for a total of 34 years. A few years ago he went part time with an ATM refurbishing company.
I had a registered day care home for many years & have taken care of all my grandchildren while their parents work so guess I can say the care of children is were my heart is.
We have not had the opportunity to stay anywhere that we didn't have to pay except a few hours at night in the FL Welcome Center, but hoping this site will give us more opportunites to save some money to keep us on the go.
We have a 31 ft. Winnabago with one slide out that we dearly love & our toad is a Jeep Wrangler.
