We are both retired and live on a large acreage in the country. We enjoy traveling and meeting new people.
Our stay was just as pleasant as before. Hosts are so gracious. They define the term 'Southern Hospitality' in the truest most positive way.
Enjoyed our overnight on their beautiful property. Super nice people.
A lovely stay out in the country with a true Southern hospitality house.
Our home was situated out in a beautiful pasture with a view of the woods and their bee hives. One of the most relaxing and peaceful places ever. At night we enjoyed fellowship around the fire with our hosts and another boondocking couple. We know we have made some life long friends.
Our hosts have beautiful chickens that provided some beautifully colored eggs (also delicious). The honey from their hives is awesome, too.
Our stay here was beyond any expectations. Indeed we were spoiled
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature!
Our hosts are now family and we look forward to another stay with them.
We were treated to fresh eggs and honey. Plus some delicious homemade bread and pie.
We really enjoyed our stay at this location.
The hosts were gracious, friendly and hospitable.
We had great conversation and really hope to get to come back some day.
This was our first stay with BooddockersWelcom. We have traveled the world and could not ask for more kind and helpful hosts. We deeply enjoyed all the time together around all the coffees, cakes and campfires. They are some of the nicest kindest folks I have ever met. We were honored to have our stay extended a bit.
It was very quiet being 3rd of a mile away from the lightly traveled road. I felt no need to lockup anything. The well water was the best we have had in a wile.
I had no issues maneuvering our 32ft 5th-wheel. The driveway is well packed firm gravel. The field beside the house, where we stayed, is wide open for large turns. The field does get a little soft/slippery after a long day of rain, but we had no issues. The only spot to take care on is the turn off from the driveway toward the field, where there is a bit of a dip. Taken slowly, I had no concerns. I noticed a 35ft class-A also had no issue. It seemed tight in the dark, but found it be plenty of space once I saw it in the daytime.
Warmest thanks to our great hosts!
We will never forget you and hope to see you again. :)
Well, what can DUKE and I say about our amazing stay with this couple?! They are so kind, gracious and welcoming. Not only to DUKE and I, but to the other two RVers we met during our visit. Our stay was so wonderful we were a bit sad on the day we decided to leave. Yes, we had to decide to leave because these great people would have allowed us to move in if we wanted to. Haha We had amazing dinners, camp fires and just plain ol great days with them and the others that were there. We will never forget our stay here and look forward to our next visit. A must stay!!! You won’t want to leave.
We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful visit at Hundred Acre Wood with our CrackelberryCottage hosts! This was a treat beyond compare. H&M greeted us as we arrived & helped us settle in. Our spot was spacious with a lovely view of a lush green field housing beautiful black angus cows, which we really enjoyed, along with the friendly outside kitties. We were given a tour of Libery, some history of the area and even visited a restored 200 year old home.
As it turned out, our lovely hosts were friends with a family we met in TN a couple months previous and invited us all for fellowship, food and fantastic conversation. We felt like family. We were gifted fresh eggs from their chickens and local honey from their own hives on site as they saw us off this morning. These hosts are the epitome of southern hospitality and we can't wait to visit again in spring on our way back through the area!
Our hosts were the nicest people we Boondocked with on our 3 month journey. What great company and conversation. Eggs - Honey - Mexican restaurant---Great private spot with power. Thanks
p.s. Ask about the "driveway" hehe
Enjoyable conversations over coffee, homemade cookies. Beautiful spot to park. Love the farm kitties. Didn't get to meet the chickens since it rained but loved the eggs shared.
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful couple and location We enjoyed having homemade cake, cookies and coffee with our gracious hosts. Took a tour of their spread and enjoyed their farm fresh colorful eggs for breakfast, especially the"green" ones. If you are in the area, don't miss Cackleberry Cottage. We hope to return some day.
Our first Boondockers Welcome experience was awesome!!
Host couple welcomed us upon arrival, helped us set-up, and brought fresh eggs from their chickens!! Our camping site was ever so peaceful and gorgeous! Hubby and I loved being out close to some woods, listening to the birds, watching turkeys meander by, and cattle out grazing in the pasture.
Hosts are friendly and enjoyed spending an evening around the campfire sharing camping experiences. We felt like we were “ forever friends”.
Both Natchez and Baton Rouge are an easy drive if great food is what you want to experience.
We truly can not say enough about our gracious kind hosts and this location!!! Absolutely will return again!!
Fun, helpful hosts! Lovely visits over coffee. Beautiful site to park with access to water and electric if needed. Weather not best for meeting the chickens but got to love on a farm kitty or two. Sent away with farm fresh eggs! Thank you! Great suggestions for places to visit in area and possible places to get propane which worked out well. Relaxing best night's sleep in beautiful setting! Would love to come back!
