We have a wide variety of interests. Local history and bluegrass music are among them. We are both former teachers. We have hosted bluegrass bands several times. We attend several bluegrass festivals each year as well as other travel to historic sites and places that are unique and interesting. Last year we were away for over 100 days with the longest stretch being our "winter escape" to Florida in January & February.
We have considerable experience with local history and we have been involved in promoting bluegrass music, so history and bluegrass are a couple of our passions. We are also interested in outdoor murals, antiques, and visiting scenic locations. We really enjoy living history museums and historic sites.
Until 2019, we had only stayed at some Walmart's, but we had a wonderful cross-country trip in August as we visited 9 BW hosts. Each experience was great. While we only joined in 2019, we are SOLD on the concept as we very much enjoy meeting people and visiting new places. Thanks to all of those who have become hosts. We are hosts when we are home. We've created an information sheet about our area and have a notebook full of brochures and other information about local attractions that we can share with you. Come see us!
Ontario, NY. Our location is between Walworth and Ontario. We are about 20 miles east of Rochester and about 6 miles from Lake Ontario. This area is known for fruit growing, especially apples. Not far to the south is the Finger Lakes Wine Country. We are less than 20 miles from I-90 (NYS Thruway).
Our Class B motorhome is a 2009 Roadtrek 210 model We also have a 25' travel trailer with a small slide out that we store in GA and tow with a Chevy pickup truck. We use this primarily in the winter months in the South. Photo on our user profile page. The question of "Generator Required" is difficult. We said "yes" because if we have no electricity available, we'd like to be able to use it to prepare meals and recharge batteries. Other than that we don't need a generator.
It's hard to come up with a title for this couple that totally describes them. They were considerate about letting me know their arrival time, as they neared and left within a minute when they said they would. We chatted after they had set up and discovered MANY life events in common. Wished they lived closer to become good friends but can do that through the internet. :-)
Our3Acres had put in a long/hard day of travel, so we didn't get to visit too long. But we surely enjoyed what little time we had with them. We just wished we had more time to hear about their travels! They are welcome back as guests anytime!
These nice people spent a night win us on their way through our area. Thank you for the Maple syrup, it’s the real deal. Safe travels and stop by again if you get out west again. Highly commend these RVers to our fellow Boondockers.
The envy of all who are following their journey. Glad to be a part of it.
Absolutely great guest had a great evening visiting with them hope to see them back sometime highly recommend to any host.
Very pleasant couple. Quiet. They just relaxed and did their own thing. Welcome back anytime!!
Great people that would be welcome back anytime. Their stay was too short.
We would visit them if we make it to upstate NY in our travels.
We had a great visit with Our3Acres. They are involved with Bluegrass music and we attended our first Bluegrass festival this past March, so this was a central topic of conversation but by no means the only thing we discussed. They are welcome back anytime.
The hosts were so gracious. They helped us get settled in with electric hookup and were wonderful to talk with about their bluegrass interests and highlights of the local area. Very quiet beautiful location. Not quite level but doable.
I am the firts people go there, the people it’s frendly and a very quiet place thank you
