We have a wide variety of interests. Local history and bluegrass music are among them. We are both former teachers. We have hosted bluegrass bands several times. We attend several bluegrass festivals each year as well as other travel to historic sites and places that are unique and interesting.
We have considerable experience with local history and we have been involved in promoting bluegrass music, so history and bluegrass are a couple of our passions. We are also interested in outdoor murals, antiques, and visiting scenic locations. We really enjoy living history museums and historic sites. We can supply local information to visitors.
Until 2019, we had only stayed at some Walmart's, but we had a wonderful cross-country trip in August as we visited 9 BW hosts. Each experience was great. While we only joined in 2019, we are SOLD on the concept as we very much enjoy meeting people and visiting new places. Thanks to all of those who have become hosts. We are hosts when we are home. We've created an information sheet about our area and have a notebook full of brochures and other information about local attractions that we can share with you. Come see us!
Ontario, NY. Our location is between Walworth and Ontario. We are about 20 miles east of Rochester and about 6 miles from Lake Ontario. This area is known for fruit growing, especially apples. Not far to the south is the Finger Lakes Wine Country. We are less than 20 miles from I-90 (NYS Thruway).
Our Class B motorhome is a 2009 Roadtrek 210 model We also have a 25' travel trailer with a small slide out that we store in GA and tow with a Chevy pickup truck. We use this primarily in the winter months in the South. Photo on our user profile page. The question of "Generator Required" is difficult. We said "yes" because if we have no electricity available, we'd like to be able to use it to prepare meals and recharge batteries. Other than that we don't need a generator.
3 acres were a very pleasant couple. We really enjoyed hearing all the things that they are involved in. Wonderful people!! I hope they come back and stay next year for the Kaneb’s festival!!
It's hard to come up with a title for this couple that totally describes them. They were considerate about letting me know their arrival time, as they neared and left within a minute when they said they would. We chatted after they had set up and discovered MANY life events in common. Wished they lived closer to become good friends but can do that through the internet. :-)
Our3Acres had put in a long/hard day of travel, so we didn't get to visit too long. But we surely enjoyed what little time we had with them. We just wished we had more time to hear about their travels! They are welcome back as guests anytime!
These nice people spent a night win us on their way through our area. Thank you for the Maple syrup, it’s the real deal. Safe travels and stop by again if you get out west again. Highly commend these RVers to our fellow Boondockers.
The envy of all who are following their journey. Glad to be a part of it.
Absolutely great guest had a great evening visiting with them hope to see them back sometime highly recommend to any host.
Very pleasant couple. Quiet. They just relaxed and did their own thing. Welcome back anytime!!
Great people that would be welcome back anytime. Their stay was too short.
We would visit them if we make it to upstate NY in our travels.
We had a great visit with Our3Acres. They are involved with Bluegrass music and we attended our first Bluegrass festival this past March, so this was a central topic of conversation but by no means the only thing we discussed. They are welcome back anytime.
G&L graciously provided a plethora of local information and history. Power and water were much appreciated. It was an enjoyable and restful stay in a lovely setting. Thanks so much and stay with us if you’re ever in the KC, MO area. Happy Trails!
The view is great at Our 3 Acres, exceeded only by the hospitality. Died in the wool blue grass fans and great historians of the county and surrounding areas. Provided us with a plethora of informantion on the area and things to see and do. Loved our conversations. 30-amp connection and a small “water for the road” fill were much appreciated. We’d love to comeback sometime and stay longer! Thanks G & L - you guys are what BW is all about!
We enjoyed talking with the hosts, they were very kind and cordial; and the property was meticulously maintained. A great place to boon-dock.
Our stay at Our3Acres was so peaceful and calm. The scenery was was gorgeous and it was very quiet. We were given all kinds of information to tour the general area and we truly appreciated that because it helped us plan our afternoon excursion. The driveway had plenty of space for our 40ft rig. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly…great place to make your stopover if you can!!
Our3Acres met us when we arrived with friendly smiles and a little gift bag, making us feel right at home. We talked about our various travels and they gave us lots of info about the local area. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stop. Would definitely recommend!
We had such a lovely time staying here. They had plenty of room on their paved driveway for our large rig and toad, and the electric was such a godsend in the heat!
Our favorite part was the huge binder of brochures showing all the local tourist locations, which gave us more info than we could possibly take in, but made us feel very welcome. We had the privilege of visiting the local town festival one day while we were there and met so many wonderful local people.
We can't wait to come back to this area, and we will definitely request to stay here again when we do! H(IGHLY recommend it!
Wonderful people! Gene & Liz are so friendly and helpful. Beautiful, peaceful place. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Had a nice conversation about the local area, very knowledgeable in the local history. Nice site
A perfect place to park, great conversation and beautiful scenery. What more can you ask for?
My hosts were the quintessential hosts. They were so friendly. They had a wealth of information about the area and they even treated me to a welcome gift. I hope I can be a host as relaxed and open-armed as they were.
The hosts were so gracious. They helped us get settled in with electric hookup and were wonderful to talk with about their bluegrass interests and highlights of the local area. Very quiet beautiful location. Not quite level but doable.
I am the firts people go there, the people it’s frendly and a very quiet place thank you
