I love meeting new people and have room out here to share! I am very interested in "Getting Out There" and doing some traveling myself very soon!
I have Three Horses, two of which are tiny, Three small dogs and Three Chinchillas!
I live on four acres in Marana, which is in Southwest Arizona between Picacho Peak and Saguaro National Park! Although I am out aways from town, there are some markets and eateries nearby!
What a perfect place to stay for 3 nights. Dark quiet nights, beautiful sunsets and a gracious welcoming host make this a perfect place to stay in the Arizona desert. We would have loved spending more time with Lara had it not been for the way things are right now. We highly recommend a stay here and will most definitely return when in the area.
Host was very thoughtful and considerate! Good with communicating with us as to route to her place and helped with our request for 2 nights with power so I could get work done! Would stop again!
LaraJN is a great and welcoming host. The farm is off the beaten path which makes for a quiet and restful stay in a natural setting. Lara greeted us, showed us where to park and allowed us to plug in for electric. She’s friendly and interesting and we enjoyed our conversation. Thanks for your very generous hospitality.
LaraJN is a wonderful host, very friendly. We had a great time staying at her place. It was quiet and conveniently located.
This was definitely my favorite Boondockers welcome stay to date. Felt very welcomed and safe. Very peaceful and beautiful. Loved all the animals and was sad to say goodbye to them. Thank you so so much!
I stayed at Lara's for two nights. She's such a welcoming, friendly, and communicative host - really made the effort to make sure I was able to get setup comfortably. Lovely sunsets, and plenty of space to walk the pup. Would happily stay here again when in the Tucson area. Thank you!
Lovely horse property on several acres, very quiet, hostess was very welcoming and respectful of my privacy while I worked online. Thank you!
Our host was friendly, helpful, and generous. We talked for a bit (at a distance due to Covid) but still had a nice visit. The location was convenient and peaceful and the sunrise was amazing. We'd definitely stop here again.
LaraJN is a wonderful host, helpful and friendly. She was so enjoyable to talk with. She has lots of space and the views on her property are amazing. We loved seeing the sunset and moon rise at the same time on opposite horizons in deep, rich colors. The neighborhood is a series of small farms with horses, sheep, and other animals; very rural and picturesque. Had a quiet night, slept well.
Was warmly welcomed by host L.
Enjoyed the animals - 3 dogs and 3 horses. Appreciated going along for a walk with the dogs and L. The horses allowed a short pet on the jaw through the fence, very sweet.
Lot’s of level space to chose where to park, one can see both the sunrise and sunset from just about any place there.
Electric outlet was about 40 feet from me, one could park closer, to be sure an extension cord and plug that goes from 3 prong grounded house plug to rig cord would be helpful.
It was lovely to have such fun and interesting conversations with L.
Would definitely come back.
I stayed at Laura's Desert Sunset Landing for 3 nights. It was during a November heatwave, and the host was as helpful and accommodating as she could be. I enjoyed visiting with her and her six 4-legged family members (equine and canine). I appreciated the parking options for guests, and the 15 amp service that accommodates separate BW visitors. Thanks so much for a safe and welcoming place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay at Lara's place. It was just what we needed to get a day of work in on the road with good wifi and electric. And plenty of space to walk our dog. Lara was very welcoming and a friendly informative host. A great place to viist and stay. It was neat to see the little road runners and the mountains are absolutely beautiful at sunset. Thank you, Lara for sharing your beautiful spot with us.
We had a wonderful stay. We were so warmly welcomed and our dogs enjoyed the space to roam around. Hope to meet again
We hit some traffic and arrived much later than anticipated — Lars was understanding and helped us with directions. We stayed one night on her property, easy in and out!
We had a fantastic stay here. We were in late and left early in the morning both nights we stayed. Shared a spot with Penny the first night who was a wonderful lady. Nice quiet little neighborhood in a desert setting.
LaraJN is a terrific host. She has a great spot out in the desert away from City lights. the night sky is awesome. She is conveniently near some National monument's and State Parks. Thanks to all the BW hosts and BW itself for making it happen!
LaraJN was so hospitable and so patient. Went out of her to make us comfortable. Her space is a great place for solitude, beautiful views and nature trails. Having the farm animals to wake us in the morning was admittedly enjoyable to our family. We got to interact with her beautiful horses too! Just a great energy felt throughout the stay and her landing. Our kids still talk about it. You won't regret your stay😌🌻
Our 4 day stay at LaraJN’s was wonderful. When we arrived she walked us around her property and gave us free rein on where to park our rig. That in itself is kind of unusual because a lot of host have one set spot for us to park. It was nice to be able to orient our camper the way we like to take advantage of the morning sunrise coming in our kitchen window. LaraJN was very friendly and if and in times other than these (covid) I’m sure we would have had some nice conversations. The property itself was very flat and she is in the process of improving it even more, which we tried to help a little with, to allow easier access and more options. Although the neighbor had some dogs that barked at our camper every time they got let out, it was short lived and did not bother us at all. Generally it was very quiet and peaceful there. We saw lots of rabbits and a fair number of birds while there so that was nice. All in all, it was a nice place to stay and we would not hesitate to stay there again if in the area. Thank you LaraJN!
We enjoyed our stay here with LaraJN. We couldn’t have asked for nicer place to boondock for a few days. LaraJN’s texted communications were so pleasant and helpful. We both wish we hadn’t had to “social distance” so that we could have socialized with her.
I loved waking up to the sound of farm animals in the distance (not annoying - just faintly)... the baa-ing of a goat, the meow of a peacock. Very country!
Laura has 4 acres that are ideal for social distancing to interested RVers in the Tucson area. It is still being developed and I have helped her layout a route through the property for about four or five sites for RVs - 25' to 40'. They will need a little clearing but the property is flat with views of the mountains all around. Come help her develop these sites for a free and possibly extended stay.
