We are retired dairy farmers. We enjoy bicycling, we ride a tamdem bicycle and have 3 wheeled recumbent bicycles and mountain biking. We enjoy dancing including square dancing. Camping and traveling , where we meet new people.
We have been camping for many years and always look for bicycle trails everywhere we go.
We built our home in Bainbridge ourselves out of lumber from our farm.
Also, did all the wiring, plumbing, etc. Repairs on the farm were also done by us.
We enjoyed boondocking at many locations throughout the US and Canada
Our home is near Bainbridge, NY We have 15 acres, mostly wooded. We built this home after we sold our farm and is part of the original farm property. We also have a home in Florida, we spend about 5 months there during the winter.
2019 Grand Design Momentum Toy Hauler ( we carry only bicycles) Tow vehicle, 2017 Ford King Ranch F250 deisel
Gordon_Marie were great guests. Good communication throughout their stay. They left the property spot less. We would definitely host them again if they were in the area.
Nice couple did not have a lot time to visit but would not hesitate to host them again.
Really enjoyed seeing gordon and Marie again had stayed at there place on aug last year welcome back anytime
They were a pleasure to talk to, glad we met and hope they stop by again one day.
Wonderful couple, great conversations, we plan on visiting their area in the future and look forward to visiting with them more! They are welcome back anytime!!
Great conversations, sweet couple. Wishing you safe travels. Highly recommend.
We were ready for a rest after a long day of driving and Farm Country 1 fit the bill.
At the last minute, the host had to go out of town but was extremely nice over the phone and told us to come on and stay and gave us detailed instructions on what to expect as far as setup. It was very close to the interstate which made it very convenient. We were traveling with friends in a separate rig and the recent heavy rains created a few unexpected inconveniences. We had picked this spot because they offered 2 spots but actually was a shared hookup post. The access for both rigs was tough because of the wetness off the main pad. I thought I was going to be carried away by mosquitos upon exiting my vehicle for setup. Overall, I would recommend this host for a quick in and out overnight but if you're traveling with another rig and there have been recent rains, be wary.
Although the hosts had to leave town, they quickly communicated this to us and allowed us to stay anyway. We really appreciated that! Spot was close to the interstate, easy in and out. This was ok for a one night stay. It rained earlier that day and various areas were pretty muddy. Mosquitoes were really bad and we weren’t able to sit outside. Maybe because of the rain or the creek that runs along the lot. There’s a good bit of road noise throughout the night, might not hear it if running the AC or heater. We really appreciated our hosts generosity!!
We arrived under less than ideal conditions in the pouring rain storm. Our host was there to greet us and allowed us to back up against his garage so that we could hook up to power even though that was not in our original plan. It was great to be able to do that As it was such a dreary day but also hot and humid. We were then able to run our lights and air conditioner without a problem. We enjoyed our chats with Gordon and Marie and hope that our paths will cross again someday. It’s a beautiful spot to camp and we would love to get to know these hosts better.
We stayed in a big (level) grassy field. Very secluded and quite except for the occasional howl of one of the sled dogs. Yes there is a sled team kennel on the property. Not a problem, though. Cell service is very weak and lots of no see’ems.
Or hosts were friendly a quick to share their own RV stories. They’ve doing it for a long time.
Great place to overnight.
We enjoyed a pleasant, albeit short, stay with Gordon and Marie on their farm. Gordon’s directions were spot on and he was there at the top of the driveway to meet us and direct us to our site for the night. We would have chatted with them longer but we were all getting eaten alive by the mosquitos!
Beautiful location. Wonderful hosts. Just enough conversation. Highly recommended.
We were welcomed right away by our friendly Host. Had a nice campfire and conversation with other Guest. Wish we could have had more time but we had to hit the road early to continue our travels. Would absolutely visit again 😎
Our overnight stay with Gordon and Marie was outstanding. The directions to their property were easy to follow and we had no troubles parking our 41' 5th wheel in the field. That night they hosted a campfire where we were able to meet family members and another overnighter. Being we all loved bicycling, we enjoyed sharing and hearing stories of cycling adventures. We highly recommend this host.
Nice quiet area. Hosts are wonderful, even had a bonfire for all us guests. Would stay there again next time thru the area.
Farm Country 2 hosts are gracious and friendly. Our first night there, they invited us to a campfire get-together where we met other campers staying on their property. We can't say enough good things about this sweet couple.
We stayed 3 nights at Farm Country 2. We were met by the hosts and had a wonderful conversation about RVing and the area. We had full hook ups and a pretty view of the mountain and fields. It was convenient to things we wanted to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great visit!
Enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the quiet location and the friendly hosts. The campfire was a special treat, visiting with like-minded folks.
I enjoyed my stay with Gordon and Marie. I stayed two nights at there small campground which is located not far from their home. The campground offered full hook ups which was nice. For the thrift night I stayed at their home situated and a nice open field like area. I enjoyed a campfire that night with the wonderful hosts and their other Boondocker guests. I would definitely visit again if in the area. Very pleasant stay. Oh and Gordon the host was also kind enough to help me fix an issue with my camper which was greatly appreciated.
Amazing hosts - friendly and respectful. Great open space, no problem backing up/parking. Decent cell/WiFi service. Great place to boondock.
Our host was friendly, came to greet us and showed us how to set up. We had a nice chat about his former dairy farm. Pretty views of the mountains around and fields.
Nice stay. Quiet neighbors, seem to be full time. What a luxury to have full hookups. No problem parking our 33' 5th wheel and plenty of space between spots for pop ups.
We only stayed one night. The host were wonderful and our stay was peaceful. Thank you :)
We had a wonderful stay at Farm Country 2. Having full hookups was definitely a plus! The highlight of our stay was getting to chat with our hosts. They are wonderful folks who met us at the site on our arrival. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would love to stay at Farm Country 2 again!
2nd time staying with our hosts and they're wonderful people! The view is gorgeous on the property. We have enjoyed our stay both times!
Our two nights at Farm Country 2 were peaceful and pleasant. We had full hookups and a lovely view of the cornfield and mountains. Our hosts Gordon_Marie were welcoming and friendly.
Spent a comfortable three nights fully hooked up. The charming and knowledgeable hosts met me at arrival and made me feel at home. The nearby town of Sidney is a nice place with plenty of dining choices.
We stayed here for one night on a trip to visit some family. It was an easy off and on the highway spot that was on our route. Host was friendly and helped us find the best spot to park our rig. Would use this host again if we were in the area.
The driveway approach appeared a little spooky, but there is plenty of room for our big rig all the way up. The host greeted us at the house and helped us add some h2o to our tank. Then showed us where we should park. Plenty of room to turn around. Very nice place! And wonderful hosts!
This was an overnight stay and it served us well with hookups and it was easy to find. It was next to the road which was busy during the day, but come sundown it quieted down a lot. Cell service was spotty with ATT but doable if you find that sweet spot in your rig. Gordon_Marie met us at the place and told us where we can park to hookup. Very nice people and I would stay here again if I was ever in the area ...
Very good experience except for cell coverage. The hosts were wonderful and made sure everything was good to go before going back to the house.
Great couple and great location for boondocking! It was so quiet and peaceful.
Thank you for having us!!
We only stayed a night but we had a great stay at the Farm 2 location. Location was very easy to find and not far off I- 88. Gordon_marie were great hosts.
Very easy to find and park, lots of room. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful.
This was a great stop in our travels with hookups. Easy to find, hosts promptly greeted us, helped us get situated and offered some suggestions of fun things in the area. Would stay again if in the area.
Our host met us as we were pulling in. He was a very nice man! He offered full 3 point hookups. It was nice to be able to empty our tanks!
I would definitely stay here again if we're ever in the area!
Stayed here while visiting friends in Sidney. Location was perfect, 10 mins away. So happy to have 50 amp service as the temperatures were in the 80s and very humid. Nice little "campground". If you pass thru here we recommend it. Be sure to stop at Muddy Waters Brewery right on the Susquehanna if you're here on a weekend, good brews and cider!
I loved it here. The hosts were great. Very gracious and charming people. I was fortunate to be there for the 4th and they had friends and family staying there also and were so warm and welcoming. I found the farm so peaceful and quiet and very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.
Gordon and Marie met us at the site to help us back in and set up. They shared some local insights and we had a great conversation. It was our first Boondockers visit and we really enjoyed it.
Easy in and out. Short stay and visit but would love to come back.
Hosts are great and very friendly! Lovely campsite where you can see thousands of lightning bugs at night. Hookups available
Our hosts were so kind and even invited us to a strawberry social at their church. We couldn’t attend as we had plans but we wish we had! The site was level with full 50 amp hookups.
Nice spot to rest for the evening. Wide, grassy spaces with RV spot hardened with gravel. Our GPS got a little wonky but the hosts directions saved the day, so pay attention to those. Limited internet service but otherwise wonderful. We will be staying here again on our round trip. Hosts were very nice and even invited us to a strawberry social at their church.
Very convenient location four miles north of I-88. Gordon_Marie met us there and got us settled in for the night. Level, back in spot with full hook ups! Would enjoy staying again if in the area.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming. We had a perfectly level spot in their field. Enjoyed a campfire and conversation. Hope to stop again on our way back west.
Marie and Gordon greeted us at farm 2 to help us get set up. Both were friendly and obviously wanted us to enjoy our stay, which we did. We sat out and relaxed after a long days drive and chatted briefly with a neighbor. Next morning, Sunday, we enjoyed watching the horse drawn buggies going by on the way to worship.
Thank you, Marie and Gordon.
Stayed at Farm Country 2 site n power n water were great. Nice level traveled site. Would definitely stay there again, stayed in a 40'motor home.
This was a must convenient stop for us right off hwy 88 Our host met us as we drove up their 300 ft drive We had plenty of acreage to park our travel trailer. Loved the quietness of the country setting They got us settled in & came out to send us off the next am. Hoping we can stop by on next trip to or from VT
We had a great stay at Gordon_Marie's Farm Country. Site was perfect. Easy in and out. Perfectly level. Had a nice talk with the hosts. There are trails on the property to explore and a picnic table nearby. Highly recommend.
Gordon is so nice and allow me to stay for one more night. Beautiful and open site. Easy to access to local stores.
Thanks Gordon_Marie for the convenient spot you had for us. It was perfect with ALL the amenities (30amp, water, and dump point!). This little private campground had easy access, and we were close enough to visit friends up the road a piece and go shopping for supplies in Oneonta. Gordon_Marie met us there and helped us get situated. We wish we could have spent more time conversing and sharing stories but it started bucketing down with rain and our visit was cut short. We hope to stop by again next year on our way north. Thanks again for your hospitality!
Thanks for having us. Nice talk with the host. Full hook up site. Some road noise but slept well.
Great hosts. This was our 1st stay since joining Boondockers and it was a very nice stay.
Very convenient stop on our way home. Large field to park. Very quiet and peaceful night. Gordon and Marie were very amiable hosts. Just what we needed after a long drive.
Hosts met us shortly after our arrival. Enjoyed talking with them both. Sites were right off route 8. Easy parking and setup. We were able to fill our water tanks, charge our batteries and dump tanks.
We had a wonderful visit with our hosts.Always great to meet people who are active and adventurous. They are great hosts, and they have a really big back yard. Our campsite was about 5 acres of beautiful green field.Excellent experience.
Thanks again to our hosts for providing a fantastic place to spend the night. The location is quiet, safe, and easy to get to.
A beautiful spot to Boondock in the middle of a meadow next to a forest. Really great to wake up and take my dog for a walk in the trees.
Great place to stop, easy and peaceful. Gordon and Marie are perfect hosts. We will be back
I actually stayed at Farm 2 but either spot would work. Gordon_Marie were very accommodating with our request and called with cancellation from Farm 2, so we stayed there instead with hookups.
Gordon_Marie were very accommodating. Called about a cancellation he got that day so we could stay at this spot. Had full hookups. We needed a dump and this spot met the challenge. After rafting for the day they found time to stop by to say hi. I would stay here again.
Our stay was excellent. The site was spacious and had full hook-ups. The owner stopped in to check on us late in the afternoon. Wonder individual.
We had a wonderful stay. The hosts are very welcoming and there is plenty of room for larger rigs. Would highly recommend a stop if it’s on your way.
Easy in and out for the camp ground. The hosts were great and we got to spend some very nice time with them. Will stay here again if the opportunity shows itself
We have enjoyed our stay at the farm house. Our hostess were very accommodating, we had to cancel at first thinking we would not make it to them the day we had scheduled.
Very relaxing and peaceful
Their acomadations are outstanding and the hospitality was greatly appreciated.
Would highly recommend Farm House
With Dusty and Daisy the poms
Oliver the papillon
We really appreciated and Gordon and marie meeting us at the site, getting us oriented and settled. They were both very friendly and welcoming. It was the first night of a cross country journey for us, so we started off on the right foot!
Lovely hosts! Enjoyed conversation about travels. Wish we had more time to chat but we were bushed from 10 days of constant travel. Easy in, easy out location with water & sewer. Would definitely stop again if going through the area.
We had a long day by the time we arrived and pulled in after dark. We were shown where to park close to the 50 amp hookup. We had very nice discussions on our journeys.
As I was getting ready to pull away I noticed that I had a couple of screws that sheared off our stabilizing jacks. Our host had exactly the right screws we needed and fixed it for us. How spectacular is that? We highly recommend a stop here.
Gordon and Marie are the nicest hosts! The space was easy to maneuver into and the night was peaceful and quiet. I’d recommend them to anyone wanting a nice quiet spot for the night.
Gordon and Marie are so nice! We spent some time just sitting and getting to know them. They have amazing stories of a life well-traveled. We had some mechanic trouble one night and they were so helpful! We would definitely recommend staying with them! :)
A wonderful stay. Great conversation, learned about the farming on very large scale! Good wine, they invited us in their home for wine and cheese after dinner. Enjoyed seeing the labors of their love. Very quiet spot and we give them a FIVE STAR rating.
We had a very nice visit with wonderful hosts. They made us feel very comfortable and made sure that we had everything we needed.
Great stay at their home. We visited and learned about their farm and various properties along with their travels out west. We had to postpone our stay and they were very gracious. Upon arrival, we backed up to their garage and plugged in, very accommodating. Depending on the time of year, they have various options for parking. Highly recommend Farm Country and will stay again if in the area.
Our hosts greeted us when we arrived and stood out in the rain to help us get parked. They were so welcoming and told us where we could hike and walk our dogs. The property is beautiful, and the kids loved our hosts as well! We will definitely check for availability the next time we are in the area! Thank you!
Our host for our stay was wonderful, he gave us lots of parking options for our rig and we enjoyed an evening of quiet. There was also a trail on the property that is well maintained and made for a wonderful before dinner walk. We would definitely visit again.
gordon and marie are very friendly and caring couple great location for what i needed would come back again if in the area highly recommend this host
What a fantastic host couple. They were kind and knowledgeable and made us feel like part of the family. The stay was scenic, quiet and very comfortable. Thanks do mich for your friendship and kindness. I hope we cross paths again.
