my husband, Jim and are artists living an active retirement on the farm where we raised Arabian horses for many years. Jim is a potter, making wonderful, useful tableware. I enjoy ceramic art and jewelry making and fiber art.
we would be happy to share our pottery studio, and other knowledge of art. also love to talk about horses

Angelatilford's place was a perfect location and that was just the tip of the iceberg. I was greeted outside when I arrived, guided to the spot and offered power and water right away. The campsite is level and has a great view of the BLM land.
Angelatilfords were so kind, and open. We shared stories, treats and they showed me around their pottery studio. It really felt like I was vising family. To top it all off, it snowed on the night before Thanksgiving. I was in awe with the beauty. ...I was also in awe with the help I received when getting set to leave in harsh weather. These two are not only talented artists, they are angels. Thank you!!
We arrived a little early and they still welcomed us! Great location off the freeway. We walked up the trail in the back and witnessed an amazing sunrise. Overall great stay, awesome hosts, and beautiful, safe location! Thanks A and J!
Bluewater Farm location was fantastic and backs up to BLM land my dog was able to roam free without any problems and the scenery was gorgeous. The host’s themselves treated us like family the generosity and warmth they showed us will never be forgotten. I would come back again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
Thanks you both. It was nice to be at your place. It was the first stay and we enjoy very much. Finally we stayed 2 days and it was perfect for the last stretch to Kingman Arizona. A time to relax and enjoy our trip who start 6 days before from Victoriaville, Quebec Canada.
Merci beaucoup
Our second time to stay with these hosts at their peaceful rural setting which is conveniently located right off the highway and just minutes away from town. They were very welcoming, and we appreciate their kindness in allowing us to use the utilities again. We enjoyed a stroll out onto the BLM land behind their property where it seemed as if we were miles away from civilization. Hope to stop and visit them again if we travel this direction in the future!
Very handy to Santa Fa area, and off the road enough to be a quiet stay. BLM land a good place to take in the peace and quiet. Accommodating host and a good visit and loving cat!
These hosts were so nice to welcome us to stay on their property. This was a spectacular spot because there were so many great things to do in the area such as explore Georgia O’Keeffe Country (Plaza Blanca), hike the Poshuouinge Trail in the Santa Fe National Forest, and witness the breathtaking view of the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge where we saw a group of big horn sheep climb to the top. At the Verde Rec Area we drove down a gravel road that went all the way down into the gorge we saw on the bridge. We were also close enough to explore Taos and Santa Fe. However, we were so busy doing things that we missed the whole back of Bluewater Farm, which is BLM land with an awesome view of the mountains. We hope to return someday to talk with our hosts more and to continue exploring this beautiful area.
We enjoyed staying here. The land is beautiful, the hosts were friendly and we are grateful for thier hospitality. Our stay was so short...wish we could have stayed a few more days!
Jim warmly welcomed me and helped me get settled. Location is great, back from the highway and bordering on BLM land if you like to hike. I stayed 2 nights and took advantage of the electric hookup for $10 per night, as it was in the 20s at night. These hosts are top notch. Great stay.
Can’t beat Angela and Jim’s hospitality. Loved talking with both. They are centrally located for Taos, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Bandelier National Monument. Oh, don’t forget Ojo Caliente hot springs and hiking into the BLM land just behind their property. A great first boondocker welcome experience.
We enjoyed our stay at Bluewater Farm! Our hosts were very helpful, making sure we had good directions to their place. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown the hookup and water. The site was nice and level. We saw the full moon rise over the mountains and slept well. In the morning the hosts took time to visit and showed us the pottery studio and beautiful mosaics. These are folks we’d love to know better! Highly recommend a stay at Bluewater Farm!
Centrally located with some of NMs best in every direction. Very friendly hosts, we hope to return!
We were so grateful for a place to stay that had electric so we could run our heater on some very cold nights. The space was peaceful and quiet and adjacent to BLM land which was so lovely.
What wonderful hosts! I found the place charming, with amazing views of the mountains. Plenty of space to maneuver my rig, with water and electric right next to a small tree for a bit of shade. The property backs up to BLM land, so hiking is easy access, and my hosts shared with me the most delicious grapes I've ever eaten. Hospitable, kind and interesting to talk with, thank you, Hosts!
We ended up arriving late but were met at the entrance to the property. All communication was excellent. Use their directions and not your GPS. It is a beautiful piece of land that is very close to every amenity you might need. Parking, water and power were no problem. We hope to get back here and stay longer next time! Thanks!
Had a lovely overnight. Right next to BLM land so great hiking and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Very appreciative of our hosts.
Hosts accommodated us at the last minute and were very pleasant about it even though they already had another camper booked for the night. Plenty of room for both rigs, and we both had water/electric hookups. Couldn’t ask for nicer hosts. Fairly close to Santa Fe and easy access from highway. Some traffic noise, but we ran a fan at night to cover it. Highly recommended!
We arrived at our host site just before dark, much later than anticipated. Our host greeted us with a very gracious welcome in spite of our late arrival in the rain. The site was private and quiet, right next to BLM land and the hosts provided electric and water. We enjoyed a very pleasant visit with the hosts, and were sorry to leave after such a short stay. Warm and interesting folks, and a great first experience as guests at a Boondockers Welcome host site. We are happy to recommend them to anyone visiting the area.
But that doesn't begin to cover these gracious hosts. A lovely place and very talented artist as well. I hope to return one day. Thank you again for a restful stay.
Jim & Angela have a great location with easy access. Plenty of room for big rigs to maneuver in their backyard. We tow a trailer and it was easy to turn the rig around so we could face acres of BLM land. Jim has water and electric if you need/want it.
Spent two nights here which allowed one full day at Bandalier National Monument and Los Alamos. We have been to Santa Fe many of times so we skipped it this time, but you can spend days playing in that town which is just a short drive.
Perfect weather and perfect hosts - We will definitely stay here again on our next trip through the Santa Fe area.
Jim and Angela were so gracious to allow us to stay at their property. It was a beautiful surrounding area with BLM land right behind. they provided us with water and electricity for a small fee and have been amazing.
Our host greeted us and showed us a nice level spot. The property backs up to BLM land and it looks like you can walk forever. I walked a little way out and the view was great. This location is really convenient to Santa Fe and Taos, and Bandelier National Park. Thanks so much for the hospitality! I hope to return
Wonderful little spot for a quick overnight!! Host was very kind to my children and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Thank you Angela we enjoyed your kindness and beautiful location! It looks tight on space but i had no problem maneuvering my 64 ft rig and turning around. The whole area is just gorgeous!
Jim and Angela are two of the nicest people you could meet! :)
We had a great time visiting with them and became fast friends over a shared love of gardening, art and travel. We're looking forward to our next trip through the region so we can stop and visit again! Highly recommend a stay with these wonderful hosts.
Jim and Angela we're great hosts. They met us as we drove in and showed us parking options. We had a nice visit with them and enjoyed our stay.
Jim was very nice and greeted me and showed me where to park. Had elec and water ($10/day), knew in advance. Very peaceful and quiet. Got to unhook and site see and did some hiking.
Host met us when we arrived. Very nice, chatted about the area. Fabulous place to hike. Hope to be back some day!
Thanks Angela & Jim. What a great place to stay to explore Taos, Los Alamos & Bandolier.
We loved Bluewater Farm and hated to leave. We enjoyed spending time with our hosts swapping RV adventure and life stories. Bluewater is so convenient to Espanola, Santa Fe, Toas, Los Alamos and so many other cool things. You can go hiking directly out of the back gate of the farm onto BLM land. We can't thank our hosts enough for a wonderful time. We'll be back!
We had a great time staying here. There are miles and miles of beautiful scenery behind the property and we caught some beautiful sunset colors on the mountains. We also were able to drive to the nearby Santa Fe to meet a friend and also into the mountains to get a great hike in! It was cold while we were here and having the extention cord offered was great to keep our heater on! I would recommend this stay for sure!
We enjoyed two nights at the Bluewater Farm. It was very quiet and the hosts are very accommodating. It's nice to have the option for water and electricity, especially because it was cold when we visited. There is a beautiful hiking area right behind their house with views of the mountains. Such a nice added feature of our stay. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area! Thank you so much!
