We have a barndominium in the country on the shores of a small Creek. I'm a former full-time rver, but she's still working LOL. I used to work on computers and networks but now I stay as far away as I can from them. We're building our residence in the barn now.
As with most rvers, we are multi-talented, but masters of nothing. We're pretty self-sufficient after living in an converted bus for 10 years. We are very good at enjoying our country life, and good conversation with friends.
We have two dogs and two inside cats. Both dogs are friendly, and have had all shots required. One is always on a leash, the other can be if it's an issue. The smaller is a terrier beagle mix and the larger is a coonhound mix.
Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's and most of my converted bus friends around the country.
We don't plan on doing any major traveling for a few years until she also retires. So we spend our time in the small Northern Ohio town
Eagle Motorcoach converted commercial tour bus. Converted in 2000 and we lived full-time 2008 until 2019.
Had the most lovely experience at Ohio Green Acres Boondocker site last night. Owner is a gracious and warm host. He deserves super host status. Free 50 amp hook up. Wow. Beautiful restful sleep last night with the only noises being the gentle rains, the Don’t Tread on Me flag fluttering and cornstalks rustling in the wind.
Quiet, level spot with loads of room nestled along a nice creek between several farmers' fields. This host is so friendly and understands full timers. Excellent stop and near good spots for food, provisioning, etc., in nearby Fremont. I'll stay here anytime I'm nearby, if they'll have me back.
This spot was perfect! We were welcomed by the host at the driveway, directing us to our level parking, complete with electric and garbage drop off. He even handed us a printout with local information, and also directed us to the local grocery store. We had a conversation complete with stories, before setting up and settling in. Our night was totally quiet, except for the wind. Hopefully, next time, we will be able to interact without COVID hanging over us, and we can hear more about your past full time adventures. Thank you again for a great spot in your beautiful and peaceful part of Ohio!
Great location for an overnight stay....or more. Really quiet, gorgeous sunrise out of my window, good roads in, very level parking spot with easy turnaround, nice and very helpful host....
Looking forward to staying again on my way back south.
Thank you!!!
We had a lovely overnight stay with Whitebus91. Will definitely stop by again if we are in the area. Thank you guys!
I did not stay the last scheduled visit due to an accident. Have been receiving f/u emails and have cancelled but still keep getting. I stayed here once before and if in the area would stay again! Great host and peaceful location!
The host came right out when I arrived to direct me to my spot. I appreciate the flyer with hook-up and other information. He liked my dogs which is a plus with this dog person. I will definitely request to stay here again.
My host was there to greet me when I pulled in. He helped me back in and get hooked up to power. We had a nice 30 minute chat before he had to go in and make dinner for his wife who works. What a good husband. I was able to do a 3 1/2 mile walk on the back road and along the canal/Stream. I would stay there again if the opportunity arises.
Owners could not have been nicer. We were passing through and they accommodated us last minute. We also stopped and got some awesome pizza from The Depot in Fremont that They recommended-awesome after a long drive. They live surrounded by farms and it is so peaceful. they graciously provided 50 amp hook-up which allowed us to turn the heat on on a chill night. Sweetest people.
This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome and pulling a toad. Tom was very helpful and accommodating. We were very happy and grateful for Tom & Jody's hospitality. The location is in a quiet and scenic farm area. If it works out, we will stay again on the flip side. Patti and Bruce
Super nice people. very quiet spot. Nice path along the creek to walk our dog. Really enjoyed our stay here!! Thanks for having us!
Very quiet night surrounded by corn and soybean fields. The best pizza this side of the Mississippi didn’t disappoint. Would have liked to visit the winery and distillery up the road but both were closed for our midweek visit. Maybe next time.
We loved our stay on Ohio Green Acres’ lovely land! It was level, quiet and very convenient (water, power, trash). They even shared their fresh sweet corn with us! Pull in and out was easy and the stay was comfortable. They were also respectful of maintaining social distancing measures. Would definitely come back again :)
We had a quiet, peaceful night stay here. Our host was a friendly guy with a great sense of humor!
Love the welcome letter.
We’d stay again in a heartbeat!
What can I say...another great host and great location. Thanks for hosting us.
It's hard to give a Reference for someone I have know for so long. We highly recommend Ohio Green Acres. You have gone out of your way to make it a great stopover or visit for awhile. As a host I'm going to plagerize the letter you give guests. Thanks, and see you again.
I highly recommend this Host. Plenty of parking, 5 or 6, 50 amp plugs, water, and great conversation. He has an Eagle Bus hidden in the pole barn, so as for a tour.
We just love staying with this host couple when we travel through Ohio! They are so welcoming and do everything they can to make our stay there enjoyable. The spot is so serene, in the middle of hundreds of acres of corn and beans, with usually a nice breeze most of the time. It's very easy to access and lots of room. Great place to walk the dog. Will stay here every time we come through! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
This host well exceeded all expectations! We had no problem with him of any kind and we were welcomed beyond what we would expect! Great host and highly recommend them! When we’re in the area again we will definitely call upon this host!! completely quiet surroundings and easy sleep!
This was indeed a little piece of heaven. The boys went fishing in the creek many times each day. One son caught a big catfish which both of my boys said was one of the best things they ever tasted. They also did catch and release with smaller fish, crayfish and even one giant bullfrog that decided to grab the line. Great hospitality. We felt very welcome every day.
I teach online so good data with Verizon was a plus.
Wonderful few days here. Tom was very kind and helpful.. We would recommend this place for a great stay. Will definitely be back in the future.
Stayed a night, T&J made us feel at home. 50amp service and water if needed. T gave us some great insight to full time living and we are thankful to have found them. We will see you again.
A little slice of paradise amongst the corn.
Whitebus91 was a wonderful host! He helped me trouble shoot my water pump as I’m new to Boondocking and needed help! Great hosts who also provided water and electric!
Beautiful country setting across from corn fields and reek that runs behind property. Woke to birds singing and a gorgeous sunrise! Very peaceful surroundings!
Frankie (my dog) had plenty of land to romp around! She also played with their dog! Great hosts and hope to stay here again!
I may have submitted 2reviews but was not able to find the 1st! I am so happy to have found this group!!
What a wonderful place to spend 2 nights! My little dog Frankie and I had a great visit with beautiful sunrises over the cornfield! Also beautiful sunsets to the west! Lots of different birds singing too! A creek runs behind the property where you might see fish or turtles popping up! The hosts were gracious and helped me troubleshoot problems I was having with my fresh water tank! I was able to hook up to water and electricity and Frankie had lots of places to roam! If you are traveling through this part of Ohio it is a terrific peaceful place to relax and rewind! Such nice hosts! So glad to be part of Boondockers Welcome!
T is a great guy and has a nice location. Very accommodating and friendly. His place is very nicely set up for Boondockers. Would like to get back and spend a little more time talking about coaches and traveling.
Such a nice place for us to park our 38ft 5er AND have a/c due to the 50amp & water hookup. Thanks Tom! We enjoyed the quiet area and the vineyard down the road with music, food and great wine was a plus for our 4th of July on the road . Definitely will return it in the area again
As others have said, you will experience peace and quiet at this special parcel in Ohio! The only sounds will be from nature and from laughter and stories shared with the host. Helpful and generous are just two words that describe Whitebus91.
Our hosts were great and offered many suggestions for our stay in and around their town. Beach and ferry access were convenient at only 30-40 minutes away. They had a great property which was secluded and private. Our kids enjoyed fishing in the creek running behind their property and really enjoyed loving on their fur baby. This was our first trip to Ohio, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Whitebus91 was nothing but helpful! Of course we didn’t have a 30 to 50 cord or an extension. He lent us both! He also allowed us to put our trash in his bin. What a treat! We enjoyed taking walks down the backroads with the dogs. Lake Erie was not too far away either! If we are ever in Ohio again, we will be sure to stop by!
Tom and Jodi hosted us for two nights in their big yard by their “barndominium” so we could make a drive up to southeast MI to see our kids in the days before MI re-opened to RVs from the pandemic. We enjoyed conversation with them very much and were especially pleased by the 50 amp electric service provided. You could tell that panel was put in by an RVer. One evening we enjoyed a long peaceful walk along the country roads. Very pretty and restful area. Would definitely stop again.
This is the first time my daughter and I rented an RV or participated in Boondockers. Our host was magnificent. I only wish we could have visited a little longer.
Great folks with large lot for easy parking. Quiet, peaceful setting with neighbor's rooster to wake you in the morning. Beautiful narrow country roads made for some nice morning and evening walks. We spent our day touring the Marble Head area with friends. Highly recommended.
Thanks to our hosts they made sure we had what we needed. Was a very relaxing location with very nice areas to walk and enjoy the countryside. 45 minutes from Marblehead Lighthouse located on Lake Erie. Recommend you stay and we plan to return someday. Thanks again to our hosts.
We stayed here for thre knights. we originally were going to stay for two but because of weather we decided to stay an extra day and we asked and the owners of the property graciously said yes.Tom the owner is a very great guy and we would stay here again. We stay here last year and also had a great experience. Thank you.
We really enjoyed our stop here and wished we had more time for visiting as their stories are fascinating. We'll likely return to hear more.
Great host, great location surrounded by farmland. We walked, we talked and we ate. Host recomendation for Pizza was spot on. Enjoyed talking with him and seeing his house project. He made sure we had everything we needed.
Super great hospitality. Made me feel very welcome. Very friendly. Very peaceful setting. Another camper was there they were also very friendly. If you want a quiet peaceful setting this is it. Would highly recommend you spend some time there🙂
We were only going to stay one night but we ended up staying for three nights. The hosts were wonderful and gave us a tour of his home within a home. The two dogs are very friendly and the area was very quiet and relaxing.
The host was a full time RVer and helped us with some newbie advice which was very much appreciated.
Highly recommend staying here. Hopefully we will be able to get back some day and see his completed home project.
Quiet, rural setting. Nice level spot with water and electric. Close enough to freeway, but worlds removed! Enjoyed our host and his barndominium!
Our host was quick to respond and informative. The site was easy to access, level and comfortable. Day and night are quiet, real quiet, surrounded by farmland and wood plots. Scenic with great sunsets and sunrises. Great area for walks or bike rides. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed visiting with them.
Whitebus91 was very welcoming and accommodating in our stay. This was our first Boondockers experience and it was a great first impression! They have a nice flat, gravel pad with some hookups. Peaceful setting. We hope to return someday when we have a bit more time to relax. Thank you!
Creative and delightful hosts. Accommodations are ideal.
Super nice folks to chat with. Very quiet country place. Highly recommend.
Whitebus91 was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed talking with them and had excellent pizza. It is a quiet area to stay at but convenient to local parks and a nice winery 2 1/2 miles away.
If you are in this area we recommend staying here.
Our 1st time using Boondockers Welcome and we loved our 2 day stay here. Very welcoming, friendly, hospitable, RV/travel-savvy couple with a convenient, clean, & quiet location in the country. They offered us hookups, although we didn't need them this time. We were in the area for a vintage go-kart race and Tom gave us some wonderful recommendations to visit/eat in the area. Lovely couple and hope our paths will cross again!
Our hosts were very welcoming and we spent a very quiet night. Thank you
Thanks so much to our host for a great overnight stay. Another example of the privilege of meeting more fine and gracious people within our country.
The hosts are so pleasant and welcoming. Quiet, beautiful place to park and the creek nearby helps to relax and makes sleep easy!
The host is just fantastic, approachable, gracious, a true gentleman, and a fountain of information regarding the area. I can't say enough great things about him. The stop is absolutely fantastic. A bit off the turnpike but well worth the drive. Ample room for any size rig, a level hard packed gravel driveway, water and electric available. We used this as a base to visit my son in Findlay and spent one day just relaxing and enjoying the view all around. If I'm ever back in this area I will definitely request another stay.
The area is SO quiet, so peaceful. Hosts are fantastic, welcoming and knowledgeable about their area. We really enjoyed our 2nd stay as much as our first!
This was a great place to park overnight, the bonus was the lovely couple we met and chatted with for some time. Very accommodating offering power and water hookups. It was easy to find, with easy access and no traffic. This was an extremely quiet and peaceful stay and highly recommend.
Our hosts were gracious, helpful and a great place for boondocking. Couldn't ask for anything better!
Beautiful quiet area the host were very welcoming and hospitable to not only myself but my children and our dog as well! Had good conversation and offered they offered electric and water.
If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet stay, this is the place to go! The hosts Tom and Jodie, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. If we are in this area again, we hope it will be available again. Thank you so much for all your kindness. God Bless you!
We had a quick overnight stay at this peaceful location. Host graciously provided electricity and a level site. Enjoyed meeting him and his dogs. Will be back when we can. Thanks for everything!
Our stay at Our Ohio Green Acres was short but couldn't have been any better. Hope to stay there again some day. Tom gave very easy directions to find him. Only about 4 miles of the main route. Facilities are top notch with 50 amp service, water, a solid base on which to park and easy turn-around. Best of all, Tom is a great and interesting person to visit with. Pointed us to a nearby winery for a tasting. Only met Jody briefly as we were leaving but can tell they are an interesting couple. Highly recommend.
We had a very nice two-day stay. It was very quiet and peaceful and very nice. Our hosts were very nice and accommodating. We really appreciated their hospitality. We didn't get a chance to socialize as much as we would have liked but we were exhausted from dealing with some snow at our last location in Indiana. We would love to stay here again!
We enjoyed meeting Jodi and Tom. We were made to feel very welcome right away. Had a few good visits and got a "tour" of their retirement project in process.
The location was near lots of small towns, lovely rural vistas and a short drive puts you on the southern shore of the lake.
Thanks to you both.
Second time we've stayed. Hosts are great people and have a wonderful place.
We're going to the bus rally at their place in a few days. Can't wait!
