Hi, I'm Erwin and my partner Linda and I have travelled from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island, and on up to Alaska, as well as the South West US in our RV, and enjoyed hiking and biking along the way. We love sharing and helping others in pursuit of this lifestyle.
I'm pretty handy at all things mechanical and electrical.
We have a little "shorkie" named Ozzie whom we have rescued from our son. We have thus far included him on short RV adventures.
Newfoundland is wide open for those who want to boondock. the folks are friendly and the scenery spectacular. The BLM lands in the SouthWest US are great.
We live in Thornbury, ON on the shores of Beautiful Georgian Bay. Our town is a 4 seasons recreation Mecca, but don't tell anyone.😄 Access to the Bruce Trail is a big drawing card to our area.
We travel in our 97 VW Winnebago Rialta. She's 21 feet, and has everything we need, and nothing that we don't, including our bikes, and sometimes our folding kayak
Boondocking here during the wonderful fall weather was just what the doctor ordered! The hosts are not only warm and welcoming but helped this very new newbie with some much needed changes to my rig. The area offers wonderful restaurants, cafes, beaches, hiking opportunities and lookouts not be missed. Lovely and quiet setting guarantees a restful sleep.
Our wonderful hosts for the night, just a stone's throw from gorgeous Georgian Bay, were most welcoming! They graciously invited us in, gave us advice and tips regarding where to go and what to see, and provided us with a map of the area. Lovely location; easy to find and within walking distance of local eateries. A quieter sleep you will not find!
We had a great time with Erwin and Linda at their home. Shared travel adventures as they have travelled across the continent and we have done several ship cruises so we were able to offer some suggestions. They also provided ideas for sightseeing in the local area. We have found new friends for sure!
