We quit our jobs and sold everything in Fairbanks, AK to fulfill our dream of catching a fish in every state. We plan to take about a year to travel the country in our 5th wheel before settling down in New England to be closer to family.
Fishing, fly or conventional
More Alaskan-type stuff
Also some IT skills, finance, and programming from our previous day jobs
One small black lab named Porter.
Any remote location that offers fishing or hiking opportunities and ones that can accommodate our 38' 5th wheel.
Fairbanks, AK until we figure out where our new home will be located.
We have a full-size, crew cab, long-bed, dually pickup truck towing a 35' 5th wheel with a 3' kayak rack on the back. There are two slideouts on the driver's side of the rig and one on the passenger's side.
We were busy during their stay, so didn't get a chance to visit much, but the time we did chat, very friendly, quiet and would welcome them back any time!
Friendly couple on a great adventure. Glad we had the opportunity for them to stop and share some of their experiences. They were very appreciative and respectful of our host location. Welcome back any time. Hope our paths cross again on the road. Travel safe.
I had to be away from site when the were arriving, they were very understanding, we spoke a little in the morning before they left I enjoyed the conversation, and would very much like them to spend some time here again, welcome back anytime
A very nice and interesting couple, traveling from Alaska and planning to fish in all of the lower 48 states. We are their third state, and they did get to fish, but didn't catch anything, but that's not required. We were their first boondockerwelcome host, I hope we gave a good impression. We would have them back anytime. Oh, and I have to mention the smoked salmon from Alaska that they shared with us, delicious!
