I am late 60s married to my high school sweetheart for life. We enjoy Grandkids as #1 activity travel as #2 we both still work part time. We enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places. We hosted foreign exchange students and were involved with youth sports so we enjoy the "GEEZER CROWD" and kids of all ages.

It was a pleasure hosting + paul366. They were a pure pleasure, only wish they could have stayed longer.
Remarkable couple - warm, relaxing, engaging, and extremely welcoming. Overly generous with their time and assistance. Extended stay and so glad to have stopped here while hiking Shenandoah NP!
Paul366 was a wonderful host. We didn't have much time to socialize with all the sightseeing we did. The area was clear and level. Very easy to get in and out. We had a wonderful stay.
Thank you!
What a great experience!! I really enjoyed our campfire chat on a cool evening. Beautiful property and extras. I picked up lots of travel and RV tips that will use over time. Highly recommended. Thank you for allowing me to stay.
Really enjoyed our stay here, meeting these hosts! Nice area to explore Civil War Battlefields. Nice time at the propertyl. Thank you so much!
From the initial communications onto the rest of our stay in Middle of Nowhere the experience was smooth and pleasant. Our Hosts met us upon arrival and parking/setting up was a breeze. Our Hosts graciously invited us into their home for a yummy homemade blueberry cobbler. We loved chatting with them and trading travel stories. Highly recommend!!
Just a bit distant from I-95. The approach roads on the map had a lot of curves so we were expecting hilly terrain however the hills were small and not steep, the roads perhaps following the trail of a meandering cow. Beautiful scenery.
Our hosts were most gracious, easy in, easy out. Only used electric hookup. We got to pick a good supply of high bush blueberries - yum! Lots of nearby Civil War battlefields.
We were traveling with COVID-19 precautions — self-contained, masks, distancing. Worked out well.
Paul and Beverly are lovely hosts. They have a beautiful property that is convenient, easy in and easy out, and best of all they are lovely people!
Paul has a lot of knowledge about the mechanics of RVing and really helped me out with some good ideas, me being a relatively new RVer.
Beverly and I had a great time swapping travel stories and she gave me some great tips on places to visit!
I will definitely stop by to visit when I’m in the area again.
Thank you, Paul and Beverly!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at “middle of nowhere”! Paul and Beverly were incredibly gracious and I enjoyed chatting with them and their family! I actually felt like part of the family while I was there. So much to do in the area and the days that I didn’t drive to explore, the “middle of nowhere” was beautifully maintained and spacious enough to enjoy and walk my dogs. I couldn’t be any happier about my first BW experience! I was even able to enjoy herbs and greens from their garden!
I had to cut my trip short due to the pandemic and was lucky enough to find and reserve a night at Middle of Nowhere. The hosts were very welcoming, offered their electric to me and were fun to talk to about their RV adventures. I hope to get back to this location and stay for a few days in order to visit the beautiful Virginia landscape that surrounds this great boondocking location.
Quiet, hospitable, friendly hosts. Thank you. We'd LOVE to return. WE invite you to our BW spot on your way to OBX.
We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Middle of Nowhere. There are many things to do in the area particularly if you like civil war history. The property is big, flat, private and very well maintained. Paul366 offered water and the use of their dump station. Our hosts were very helpful and displayed "southern" hospitality. They have interesting lives and personalities that we can talk with them for hours. We were surprised the first morning to receive a bundle of tourist brochures and homemade jam. We have made friends and plan to come back next year. They are an amazing couple and treated us very special.
Thanks to our gracious hosts for a great overnight stay! Enjoyed visiting with them, trading travel ideas and travel stories. Another memorable eastern USA travel experience for us westerners!
Our Hosts were very welcoming and very friendly. We had the pleasure of sitting and having great conversations with them. They shared a lot of their knowledge and RVing tips that will help us on the road.
Their property was beautiful and very spacious. We would definitely love to come back again and visit, and maybe even get to host them if they ever come our way.
Located in one of the American history heartlands the hosts have a wonderful site for hosting boondockers, especially the easy entrance, ample room to navigate any size rig in and out and can pull in, park and level without any effort. The host greeted us and explained where we could park with with an expansive field of options. After getting set up we were welcomed into their home and provided with ample local area attraction information along with many of their own recommendations. We also have similar winter travel plans that we together shared and hopefully will meet up where our paths may cross. We area also enjoying the homemade strawberry jam that the host gave as a gift. Hopefully in years to come when we return to the area the hosts will still belong to Boondockers Welcome. Thank you for your gracious hospitality.
Our wonderful hosts have named their BW site “Middle of Nowhere”, but this certainly is not entirely true. Yes, you are in the country and you have a stunning view from your camper of the countyside. But, you are in a target rich environment of historical places to see. We visited three Presidential homes (Washington, Jefferson, Madison). Plus, there is a town nearby to restock your supplies.
Our hosts were incredibly warm and inviting. We both share a love for the open road and we had a lot of fun visiting with them and swapping traveling stories.
When we arrived our host pointed to a very large freshly mowed grass field surrounded by forest and said, “Well, you can pretty much park anywhere out here that you like.” Suffice to say that you will have plenty of room to turn your rig around here.
You will have an enchanting stay here and you will leave with lots of memories. Thank you for a delightful visit. Now, come on down to Georgia to see us. Or, maybe we will run into each other one day out West. ;-)
It is easy to see why this location is so popular. There is plenty of things to do plus the hosts are terrific. We stayed 5 nights and could have stayed much longer. The hosts are extremely helpful. They had prepared a package with brochures and maps of things to do in the area plus the jar of jelly was excellent. We were there to see in-laws that were staying at a nearby resort so unfortunately our time was limited to spend with the hosts. However, what time we had with them was spent in many thoughtful and interesting conversations. We always like to talk to people and these hosts were no exception. They were terrific, very accommodating and so we were very compatible. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay with you. I expect we will be back again as the in-laws will still own their membership in the nearby timeshare.
I really enjoyed my stay here. I was given a couple of options where I could park. I picked the drive way which had plenty of afternoon shade. Paul366 invited me to come by and visit for awhile. We ended up chatting and visiting for quite awhile. The rest of the time I was out seeing the historical sights right up until I left. Paul366 helped me back out onto the roadway. It was an easy in and out. Thank you so much for letting me stop by for a few days. I highly recommend these hosts and would come again if visiting in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our hosts. Gracious, thoughtful and kind! We came in needing a place to stay and left with new friends who we will hopefully see in New Orleans in the fall! We even got to pick blueberries! We ate blueberries for breakfast, lunch and dinner😊 Their hospitality rivals the best b&b you will ever stay in! May you guys be blessed 10 fold!
We so enjoyed our time here and visiting with our hosts. Very kind and gracious and more than helpful. Easy drive to Fredricksburg and colonial Presidents's homes. Just a lovely stay.
Our hosts were incredibly gracious hosts. Warm and friendly, we really enjoyed their company and we loved the Southern Hospitality. We even asked if we could do some farm work just to learn a thing or two about farming and we got to do that too. They have become our favorite boondockerswelcome hosts! Thank you To our great hosts and God bless!
We really enjoyed our time with them and learning about the area. The fire pitt and home brewed wine were outstanding. We highly recommend them.
This place is wonderful. Near the battlefields. relatively quiet. Fireflies twinkling all over the place and the hosts are warm and friendly..
We had a wonderful time at our stay in the “Middle of Nowhere” and you will too! The hosts are wonderful and welcoming, and the property is a great respite from the crowds at area campgrounds. Virginia countryside, great wineries and Civil War battlefields nearby. Thank you for having us!
We parked on even gravel ground, and when the trees will have leaves later in the year it will be shady, too :-)
Near a secondary road, but quiet at nighttime.
Very nice talks with them.
Thank you!
Such a nice and welcoming couple! We loved Virginia and it was beautiful! We were passing through quickly but would love to come back and stay! Paul has big plans for his place! Verizon signal was great. Thank you so much for letting us stay!
