Hi, we are Doug and Debbie.
We love to travel and meet new people. We retired a year ago and are loving it. We are currently living full time in our 5th wheel, exploring the USA and Canada. We do have property back in Canada, that we return to in the summer so we can catch up we all of our family and friends. Our awesome kids and grand kids are the one thing we miss the most while travelling. But with technology today, we manage to touch base with them frequently while travelling. They are always interested to find out where we are, what we've seen and where our next stop will be.
Doug is a pretty handy guy. He can fix just about anything. Loves old cars, motorcycles, tractors....anything with an engine! Me, I love to read, knit and crochet....Doug likes to tease me about my yarn stash. (It really isn't as bad as he likes to let on!) We both like to tour around on our motorcycle, but we've also been trying to walk and ride our bicycles more.
Our dog, Ernie travels with us. He has been a really good traveler. Ernie is very laid back. It takes a lot to excite him and he rarely barks. He loves to go for walks with Doug... Doug is definitely his buddy!
We always thought it would be great to live 'off grid', so Doug has done a ton of research online and he has installed solar power on our 5th wheel. We love the fact that we can camp without having to hook up to power.
We both tend to be a bit more on the quiet side, but boon docking has been a great experience for us and we love chatting with others about their experiences. You can learn so much from others.
When we get back home, we plan to offer our property to other boon dockers who would be travelling through Canada. It really is a great way to travel, see new places and meet new people. We've been very fortunate and have seen much, but there is still so much more to see!
Doug - Jack of alot of trades. Debbie- Knitting, taking care of Doug.
Yes we have Ernie. He is a Corgi-Husky mix. He is mid size, very quiet and lovable.
We love to find places on water. We have found great spots all over, AR, FL. TX ETC. As I’m writing this we are boondocking near Holley FL. It’s an amazing spot, right on the water with about 15 sites. There’s only 3 other campers here right now.

Doug & Debbie are a great couple, unfortunately it was a busy week for us and we didn't get to spend alot of time together....maybe next time 😊 but it certainly was a pleasure to be able to meet & host them. They are very welcome to come back anytime!
Doug and Debbie spent 3 nights at my sitte along with another Boondocker couple from Minnesota. The Minnesota couple had truck problems. Doug unselfishly spent hours solving their problem even though they had never met before. I thoroughly enjoyed both Boondocker couples and look forward to there return the next time they come to Florida.
Booking was easy arrival and departure smooth. Would definitely stay again
Our stay with Doug and Deb was our first experience with Boondockers welcome. They were extra accommodating and super friendly. We had a great time on there property and really enjoyed their company. It was especially nice meeting Ernie ,the grand and great grand kids. We are very grateful for having met such a wonderful couple. We are looking forward to another visit with Doug and Deb. We highly recommend staying with them.
This was a great stay!
Beautiful site with huge gorgeous trees, in an area made for exploring.
Warm, welcoming hosts who felt like old friends from the moment we met.
This is why we joined BW - it doesn't get any better than this.
Though we were all busy, we did find time to chat a while and I'm sure we will meet again.
We were welcomed by the Howweroll Hosts on our arrival. They were friendly and helpful Hosts.
We would certainly like to stay again sometime in the future. Thank You both for having Us.
Great quiet location. Friendly hosts who make you feel like part of the family. Our second stay here. Thank you for a great time. Friends forever.💕💕💕💕
We had a great time during our stay! We took a couple of days to rest and relax at this beautiful property before we continued our road trip. The couple (and their dog, Ernie) were INCREDIBLY friendly and even offered us some local guides to the area! We’ll be back again if we’re ever in the area!
Enjoyable visit being hosted by this lovely couple. It was great to connect and discuss their experiences with boondocking and off the grid living. A quiet peaceful retreat. Hope to visit again soon.
We, as usual, had another wonderful stay with Debbie, Doug and Ernie the dog. We had quite and relaxed weekend and had a pleasure to meet. We thank you very much for having us and look forward to seeing you again.
Halyna and Roman.
PS. sorry Ernie, hopefully Max will mature a little by the time we come next time and will be less annoying. He misses playing with you.

A restful, magical experience on this "off-grid" location. We will be back. Enchanted evening and morning visit!
Very nice people. Awesome place to stay off the grid. Really interesting to see how well they can live off the grid. Would have liked to stay longer. Planning on returning and staying longer next time
Doug and Debbie met us as we drove in and explained were to park. Debbie acted as a tour guide showing us around. They are very good hosts and as guests when I hosted them in FL.
We wish we had stayed longer than a night. But a very enjoyable night it was. We found out that we had a lot in common and hope we can be in a similar situation in a few years. We would really like to visit again in the future and spend a few nights filled with drink and laughter.
Debie and Doug are wonderful people. Unfortunately our schedule was tight and did not had much time to spend with our host. But little time we had was great exchanging our Boondocking experience.
We had pleasure to stay at Debbies and Doug's place this past weekend. We want to say big thank you to our hosts. We had wonderful quiet weekend staying next to forest with hiking trails. The property is very large and well maintained. Our dog was able to free roam on property and had a large area, size of small field, то run around. Poor Ernie, host's dog, had to put up with our's dog energy; we think they became friends thanks to Ernie's patience. We truly hope to come back.
