My husband and I recently retired and are rving. We winter in Florida and Summer in Maine. When in Florida we camp out where it's warm! In the summer we have a fleamarket style junque shop ( and I mean junk) in Cornish,Maine. We are not fancy. We are average Maniacs! We have room for about 6-8 rv’s depending on size of rv. We do have a well where you can get good Maine water to drink. We are about 30 miles from Maine beaches and 25 miles from Portland,Maine and Malls. We are 30 miles from the white mountains and North Conway,New Hampshire. We are about 2 hours from Boston. We have a river that runs behind the shop and you can kyack most of the time. we offer a couple of tent sites. No utilities. We do offer a free cup of coffee when you arrive!
My husband is a carpenter . I should say was as he just had congestive heart failure in the past year and has a pacemaker/defibulator and is limited in this area. He is a licensed Real Estate Referral Specialist And can get you an awesome realtor in any state. Just send info of location, budget and details of land or home you are looking for with contact information. [email protected]. I was a family alcohol and drug counselor in the 80's and 90's and then went into retail sales running Christmas and Halloween stores in the Malls in Maine,New Hampshire, And washington D.C. I also have run my shop in Maine for 28 years in the summer. I met my husband 5 years ago and we have been married for 4 years in August.
we have 2 small rescue dogs. We just rescued them 2 months ago and they are still adjusting! I should say we are! Dusty and Duke. We are everyday people who love life. We live one day at a time and try to help people whenever we can. My husband is Italian and unfortunately I am a New England girl, so if anyone is a great cook, you will have won his heart. So we love going to bbq’s where they have pot luck as it’s awesome all varieties of food there is!
Cornish,Maine and the Equestrian site at Dupois Park in Fl. Several others in Florida.
I was brought up in Cornish,Maine. A beautiful little town with lots to offer visitors. Antique shops and small shops galore. A hotel and a motel and several good eating places that are a must to visit! My favorite is Bay Haven, where they have the fish brought in daily from the boats. Portions are large. Sophies has great food and a drive thru and order ahead or take your chances there is a seat available! Sunrise Pizza and grilled chicken salad. Great sandwitches and Italian food. House of Pizza is where the Locals gather mornings and My husband and I are usually there with a group of friends for coffee or breakfast. A great breakfast Buffet on Sunday Mornings! Fat Boys is great. Fairgrounds Pizza has a bar and Varity of good food. The community is awesome.
LadeDaze. 1998 vintage! We love the “Turtle”. So spacious!
Our hosts are wonderful friendly and generous folks in a unique setting. Phyl has something for everyone, and it's clear that her main interest is helping others.
There's plenty of room in the level grassy field, with sun and shade. A bit of traffic noise during the day,but quieter in the evening. We didn't get to experience the fire pit,but look forward to it next visit. We did try the Bay Haven restaurant, and the food was good.
If fancy and new is your style, this isn't the place, but if spending time with some really nice people,no frills, then this will be a unique, fun experience.
Had such a wonderful time. Phyl and her husband have a beautiful property and a small flea market loaded with antiques, collectables and furniture. It appears that everything she takes in from the flea market and any donations from boondockers goes directly back into helping the local community and the nomad community. Wonderful above ground campfire! Highly recommend this place, even the drive is a blessing all the way up! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!
Our lovely hosts were full of information about places to go and food to eat. We spent most of our days in Portland and at Cape Ann. Thank you.
After putting up with all of my delays the hosts were very gracious. Nice spot, good people.
Packratphyls was very welcoming and accommodating hostess. Located conveniently to the places we wanted to go.
We had a very good time with the Hosts! These are the kind of people that make this whole system so fantastic.
Very warm and welcoming and helpful. Have loved staying here!
Hosts are such great peeps! I needed to stay an extra day and they were happy to accommodate. Very grateful. If you say “yum yum” their sweet little dogs will come running!!! It means they’re getting a treat! Highly recommend this host.
Enjoyed two nights at this location. Friendly hosts with a nice private field to park in. Enjoyed touring the area and would definitely stay again. Charming little town.
Nestled in a former garden field on the Ossipee Trail near the border of NH, Packratphyl and her husband have created a perfect place for boondockers to stay. Easy in, easy out, I brought a 42’ 5th wheel onto the plush green grass with no problem at all. Phyl, Hosts were very warm and welcoming folks. Will definitely stay here again!
We had a great time, enjoyed a harbor cruise, fall colors, and lobster! All within an hour's drive. Maine is complete!
Stayed for three nights. Very quiet place to relax. Thanks for the recommendation for the mailboat run and some local restaurants. Enjoyed meeting some locals at the breakfast club.
This was the perfect Maine retreat. Our host was amazingly generous with their space and time. We have rarely felt more welcome. As a bonus, this was such an easy location to pull into and out of! This was a charming town, and a brilliant base camp from which to visit Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Ogunquit/Wells, and similar points of interest. We look forward to meeting again in the future!
We were greated by our host and chatted a bit. Good tips on area eats and enjoyed one she mentioned. We were out sightseeing the days there and loved the Mailboat Run ferry that she told us about. Able to talk with her husband also before we left. Such a nice couple and safe area to use as a base .
I had a really sweet 3 night stay here in Maine and the hosts were awesome. Nice field to park in and a beautiful river about a hundred yards through the woods behind the field. I hope I get a chance to come again...
Great spot. Quiet and peaceful. Our hosts welcomed us and got us parked. We used our stop to see. Portland, the white mountains, the coast to York and lake winnipesaukee. We were centrally located between them all! A Big thank you to our hosts for allowing us to spend an extra day. They offered us to stay longer if we had liked! THANKS
Friendly hosts with 2 small adorable dogs. Out here you will find a large field and serenity. The road is close by but it is heaven. On their recommendation we did the mailboat tour out of Portland. So worth it.
We had a nice, comfortable stay with packratphyl. Parking is in a field with trees forming a barrier between it and the highway reducing the road noise. Spots are level and easy to maneuver around. We were able to leave our tow car hooked to the motorhome as the turnaround area was large enough to manage. Due to rain we didn't have the chance to socialize with packratphyl as much as we would have liked to but did enjoy the brief conversation we had with them.
We enjoyed our brief stay with a neat couple full of life with challenging future plans for their property at a age when most are ready step back and take it easy. It was great to share lunch and to talk about their future travels with their LazyDaze motorhome. We would definitely stay with P and T if we are in the area again.
