We love to camp and explore new areas. We are easy going and always looking for a new adventure. Looking forward to retiring in the next 10 years or so and seeing more of the United States. We stay active by playing volleyball.
Steve is a Diesel Mechanic and I work in an office.
We are new to boondocking and will have lots of questions I'm sure.
We live about 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, MO.

The Lakes were very pleasant and considerate, would host them anytime. Always nice to meet new folks who are pleasant and friendly. Hope you find a big rock at Crater of Diamonds!
The lake house was outstanding. We are a large family, with 5 very friendly kids, and the family was very kind and welcoming to our family. Making sure that we had everything we need to have a comfortable stay. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
The Lake House were great hosts! They have a very nice site at the front of their property with a beautiful sunset view. Very welcoming and friendly also!
Had a one night stopover here and enjoyed the nice parking area and power. The host were very helpful and I highly recommend staying here for anyone traveling through.
Really easy to get in and out. Lovely couple and lovely property! Thank you so much! We were grateful for the hook up (electric) but didn’t even really need it too much as it cooled down nicely. A beautiful sunset view from their driveway as well!
This was my very first stay anywhere and I’ll have to say it was a pleasure! Steve and Donna were attentive to my needs, plus, they have a dedicated power pole with 30 and 50 amps so I didn’t need my generator for AC !! The site is level so I didn’t even use my jacks. And the sunset was remarkable!
Thank you once again to The Lake House.
We have great stay at The Lake House. Very convenient place . Only 20min to St. Louis city . Peaceful among farms. Host even put a trash can next to parking site for us . That so kind of them ! Thank you so much The Lake House for having us .
The Lake House is a great place to stay when visiting St. Louis. Very convenient to downtown and Jefferson Barracks, and located on a quiet road. The occasional train didn’t bother us a bit. Had a nice visit with the hosts and hope to stay there again when we’re in the area.
Experienced RVer’s that were very friendly and welcoming. Peaceful location with a great view, 30/50 amp service, security light, level gravel parking & garbage/recycling. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule and didn’t get to visit as much as we would have liked, however we are connected on social media and became fast friends. We look forward to our next stay!
We stayed overnight wit dlake333.... We were able to meet and talk and get a feel of the generous hearts for campers like us. After a 7 hour drive, it was a welcoming site to park on a level gravel pad, under a large shade tree and hook up to 30 amp ac power! We appreciate this couple and confirm their "ultra-host" status.
We had a long day of driving and this was an easy spot to pull into and hook up. Dlake333 was very responsive and accommodating and we didn't even have to level up. We had a peaceful night sleep and were recharged for our adventures the next day. We definitely recommend this spot, thank you for your hospitality.
Unfortunately we could only stay one night, had to get home due to a animal emergency.. but other than that, very nice couple and a nice spot to stay
A beautiful spot out in the country. They made a nice graveled area to park your RV. We really appreciate it the electrical hook up as the weather was quite hot. There is some highway noise and a train that runs nearby but our air conditioner drowned it it all out. Nice folks and enjoyed our conversations.
Were greeted upon arrival and everything was just as described. Unbeatable sunsets and generous hosts extremely grateful for the gift of local produce and excellent communication. Highly recommend this spot!!!
What a wonderful stay! It was close to everything we wanted to see & do…Busch stadium, City Museum, Arch, etc! The hosts were very helpful and responsive every time we had a question! So nice to have a private spot with 30amp where we could enjoy ourselves with our slides open. Thank you dlake333 for allowing us to stay at your property ❤️
We never actually got to meet our hosts due to timing, but their neighbor helped us set up. The site was nice and level and private. Would stay again if in the area.
dlake333 The Lake House - is an awesome Boondockers Welcome spot. Our host were very friendly, accommodating, met us as we arrived and offered to helped us get set up. Their camping spot has 20, 30 and 50 Amp hookups and a trash can. This location is just minutes from the famous Gateway Arch in St Louis. If you’re looking for great BBQ then Pappy’s Smokehouse is near by too. The sunset from from our camping spot was to die for! I would definitely recommend this Boondockers Welcome location to anyone that is visiting St Louis and who want to explore the great attractions in the area! Thank you so much for hosting us!
We stayed here while visiting St. Louis for the first time. We were debating between this spot and a campground closer to town and we were so happy we chose to stay here! The spot is wonderful. It was super easy to back into on a nice gravel space close to the edge of the driveway. The electric was right next to us and it was easy for us to get in and out when we needed to. The house is super close to the highway (not too loud) which made it easy to head into town. There was quite a bit of train noise but that really doesn’t bother us. The hosts were super nice and accommodating. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again next time in the area.
The grounds are clean and beautiful, hosts very friendly and great communication! Short stay for us but the hosts were highly accommodating to our needs. Loved having electrical hookups for the RV overnight rather than needing to run out generators. We will definitely be back in the future when we’re in the area!
Great stay. Definitely a winner 🏆host. Will call upon them again when in town. "HPYTRLS", hope to see you down the road.....
We stayed at The Lake House while we were visiting St. Louis. Both hosts were very nice and made us feel welcome on their property. The Lake House is tucked away in a very secluded neighborhood (mostly surrounded by farmland and adjacent to a golf course), but it is just 20 minutes away from downtown St. Louis! We were able to go in and out of the city easily. We would definitely stay here again!
Awesome stay. Will stay here again definitely. Super Host. Area country, quiet setting. Loved it.

OMG very nice setup. Did not see Hosts to much since we were never at the trailer. Visiting family nearby playing catchup. Welcome to our BW place in Charleston SC anytime. Will definitely stay again when camping in the area.

We ended up arriving from Albuquerque much later than expected. Donna waited up for us to make sure we were settled in ok and knew where everything was.
This space is away from the house towards the beginning of the driveway. It is a magical setup under a tree with lights surrounding the parking space on 3 sides. There's a 30amp outlet right to the space & a trash can that was super helpful and convenient to use for cleaning up after our dogs.
The neighborhood is pretty much only people who live there and we were able to take a nice morning walk along the corn & soybean fields. There is a beautiful view of a bridge over the Mississippi River.
As we went to leave in the morning we were stopped by a train blocking the road. Donna went above & beyond to come lead us out of the neighborhood another way & directly to a gas station & the beltway on-ramp.
Thank you so much for a wonderful night's sleep! We would love to come back another time!
Dlake333 were excellent hosts and was incredibly grateful to have a spot with electric hook ups as it was hot and humid. I was met at the driveway and promptly shown where to park. Thank you and I wouldn definitely stop by again.
The hosts were so nice! They came out to make sure we had what we needed. They have electric 30/50 which we were able to hook up too. They also have rock down and pretty level spot. I am so thankful that she has put a trash bin there for our use which is so accommodating since it has been somewhat of a struggle sometimes to get rid of our trash. We had a lovely conversation. The view over the planted fields was just lovely. Also, the area is nicely shaded. We felt safe and had a good night rest. Thank you for your hospitality!😊
We stayed two nights at The Lake House, and had a wonderful time! They are very welcoming and neighborly, making sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. The parking spot is level, scenic, and shaded, with views of pretty sunsets and lightning bugs. Also very conveniently located near St. Louis but not too close. We look forward to staying again!
Their property is super easy to get to with No confusing directions or obstacles to navigate! They greated us as we arrived and helped us get parked. We enjoyed watching out the window the pretty birds. We filled our water tank about 15 minutes away at the flying J. We would defenitly stay here again if passing through.
Wonderful and friendly couple. Fire pit is available and has great view
We stayed here on the way through just for a quick stop and they were very hospitable and great hosts! Some of the best! There's a nice little town about 10 minutes away. Will be back through to stay again sometime!
I was dlake333’s first Boondocker’s Welcome guest. They were delightful, welcoming hosts. We chatted for a good half hour after I arrived. Their home is out in the country with farm fields across the street. Due to the wide open western view, the sunset was phenomenal. A nice large crushed rock pad with available 30- and 50- amp service was awaiting my arrival. You can hear traffic from the Interstate, but it’s not terribly loud. I would definitely stay with dlake333 again if I come through the St. Louis area.
