Love the idea of boondocking as we have found many campgrounds too often are overpriced and frequently can't accommodate rigs over 30', especially if you also have a pull behind. We are not full-timers; so could readily accommodate others on our property for one or two nights. However, we do have to limit to "One at a time". We want to be your host/hostess and make your stay perfect, so as a bonus, you don't even have to do dry camping - we can offer you 30 or 50 amp power; a dumping station - and water & Wi-Fi!
Our place is located on the west side of Ann Arbor, MI - home of the University of Michigan and the Wolverines.
Ann Arbor offers the annual Art Fair; multiple theaters; a variety of attractions and near by are three major hospitals; University of Michigan, including Kellogg Eye, Mott's Childrens; Cardiovascular and Geriatric Centers; The V.A. Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital.
We are conveniently located - 35 miles west of Detroit; 40 miles north of Toledo; 45 miles southeast of Lansing and 35 miles east of Jackson

Hubby is very mechanically inclinded! As for the wife - I'm a computer geek; love crafting and thrift shops!
we haven't done any previous boondocking before - except the infamous Walmart lot & truck stops.
There is still so much more to see...........We're still venturing out in all directions -
We have a Class A - 2003 32' Safari Trek with one slide out. Love it! Often pull a small (10' X 12') enclosed trailer for our motorcycle & exra gear. (It's a quiet touring bike - a 2006 Honda Gold Wing). Otherwise we pull behind a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid. See pics on other pages
It was fun to meet another Boondockers Host couple.
It is always great to meet other RVers and share Hosting and traveling stories.
Glad they enjoyed their quick visit.
Very friendly hosts and a very convenient spot to stop and check out Ann arbor
This was our second stay with prettymonarch45 and they did not disappoint!!
They are a lovely couple, and are very generous.
Easy access to 30 amp service and conveniently located near downtown Ann Arbor!!
Lovely huge backyard that opens out on several acres of mixed landscaping. Birds and butterflies abound. My hosts were so gracious and helpful. I hope to come back again.
Very hospitable and accommodating hosts.
Large lot with plenty of room - easy to maneuver
We very much enjoyed our stay with “pretty monarch”!!!
They were gracious enough to let us swap our days because of bad traveling weather the day we were scheduled to arrive AND allowed us to extend our stay so we still had a third night.
We enjoyed very good conversation upon our arrival and again before we departed.
Their location is very close to downtown Ann Arbor, without being in the hustle and bustle.
We will very definitely ask to stay again when we are in the area next time!!!

Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and they live in a nice peaceful neighborhood. Our cats enjoyed walks around the property, and our dog had a great time time sniffing for squirrels in the neighborhood. We were happy to find a spot that would let us stay for a few days while visiting family and friends in Ann Arbor. The hosts are wonderful people!
Our hosts were great and their property was beautiful. Great set up for our RV in a nice quite area. Wish we could have spent more time in Ann Arbor. Would definitely stay here on a future trip
Frank and Bonnie were great host. We extended our stay another day to visited The Henry Ford. Great museum and great host.
My hosts
Couldn’t have been more accommodating, helpful, and friendly! The stay really helped me to be closer to Ann Arbor to help my daughter’s family.
Our hosts were so welcoming, getting situated was easy and we felt very safe in their quiet neighborhood! This made our first experience with Boondocker’s Welcome positive and we look forward to more!
Our hosts were the epitome of gracious, making us feel like old friends, and right at home. They’ve got a perfect spot for our large motorhome, and offered us water, electric (30 or 50-amp!) and a dump. They were eager to share their knowledge of the area and their travels, and were genuinely interested in ours. Thank you both for making us feel so welcome!
Very welcoming and happy people. We were lucky we were with them when we had issues with our truck as they were able to help us out. I was privileged enough to do some thrifting with Bonnie and we enjoyed our time immensely. Thank you for making us your friends and sharing your story you really are an inspiration.
Frank and Bonnie are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly and helpful people. We boondocked at their house to attend UM graduation.
Despite the miserable weather, our hosts were pleasant as can be! We had just crossed over from Canada and needed a safe place for base camp while we sorted out phone/internet phone plans while in the U.S. for the next 6 months. This site had all the amenities we needed, with many options as to where to set up on their property.
It was a pleasure getting to know these folks and hear about their travels and day to day in the area.
Thanks so much for your warm welcome into your country :)
We had a great conversation with our hosts upon our arrival, they provided us with water and 30 amp electric which we really appreciate. They were very welcoming and made sure we got all we needed, the area is very quiet and safe, close to Ann Arbor and we even took a day trip to Detroit. We'll definitely stop by again if in the area.
We stayed at this lovely couple's place last night, and had a wonderful experience. We arrived in the dark, and they helped direct us into the driveway. They had water, electric, and Wi-Fi for us to use, which was so nice. They have a beautiful yard with lots of space for our children to run and play. They were so friendly and hospitable. Would love to stay with our new friends again sometime!
Despite our last minute boondocking request and after dark arrival, Bonnie and Frank welcomed us warmly. Very convenient spot for exploring all that the area has to offer. Highly recommended!
Bonnie and Frank are wonderful. They were incredibly welcoming, talked with us and invited us in for some delicious iced tea and snacks, offered electric, water and wifi, and made an effort to communicate before and throughout our stay. They live in a quiet neighborhood, in a lovely house with a large driveway to fit our fifth wheel which Frank helped Scott back in - no problem. The location is only about 10 minutes from Ann Arbor and easily accessible from the highway. There's a great German restaurant practically just around the corner - Metzger's - thanks for the recommendation!! This was our only Boondockers Welcome stay in Michigan and it was awesome. Bonnie - I LOVED the butterflies! Thanks so much.
Our gracious hosts provided a wonderful spot to boondock in Ann Arbor with all the amenities of home plus a little bit of wildlife when the deer came prancing through their property. This was one of our highlights of our tour of Michigan. There is plenty of space for any size RV at this quiet location. Having the opportunity to use a sewage dump is a bonus for any boondocker.
We hope that we can boondock again at prettymonarch's home before long.

We stayed 2 nights at this pretty property. We share a love of TREKS, travelling, and having a good time.
A meal, bottle of wine, travel stories and life experiences were shared with our very friendly and delightful hosts.
Definately a great boondocking spot and 2 more wonderful people to add to the list of folk we have met in USA. Thanks so much prettymonach.
