We are a working cash crop farm of about 1000 acres with almost half in organic production. Our recently built home is on the hillside with a newly planted permaculture “food forest” and a man made pond. We love to travel in our Lance slide in, whenever the farm schedule permits. We spent the last eight winters in SouthTexas in a fifth wheel, but have given that up. We can’t bear being away from the grandkids that long.
Jack of all trades. Being farmers we have lots of stories and experiences just from that part of our lives. Add to that eight years of driving to Texas, several trips across Canada, and our previous careers; there is always something to talk about, and a story to tell. We love to listen, too!
We have a Mastiff/lab mix, Shadow, who does not travel with us. He is a very mellow character.
We also keep about five chickens through the summer months. They go to winter quarters at my daughters for the winter.
Fresh eggs are often available.

Any quiet spot in a woods or by water
St Bernard de Lacolle is well situated for visiting the region around Montreal, Quebec; or North east NYstate and Vermont. It sits right on the Canada/US border where Rte 15 and I87 meet at the border. We are 3 km off Rte 15. Parc Safari is just up the road, and there are many orchards, vineyards, and golf clubs in the immediate area.
Lance truck camper with one slide, side entrance.
Very friendly and appreciative. We had great conversation and a sociable drink on our patio. They are welcomed back anytime.
It was a pleasure to host 170GlassHill. I would be happy to host them anytime. Best wishes to this nice couple on their RVing adventures.
We had such a nice greeting upon our arrival. The host was so pleasant to talk to and the retreat was very nice and quiet. The host knew how to make us feel right at home.
I would definitely recommend this retreat.
Beautiful large farm property with a walking trail though a wooded area. 170GlassHill were very welcoming and offered a beautiful spot for my van near the pond where you can watch the sun set. Very nice people even if we only got to chat for a bit. In the morning I was able to enjoy a walk in the woods with Shadow before leaving. And thank-you so much for the fresh eggs...delicious!
We had the most wonderful time visiting this site. The host was very welcoming, and the spot for our rig was amazing. Can't wait to visit again soon.
Super hospitalité ! Des hôtes incroyablement gentils et accueillants ! Nous avons passé un superbe moment, malgré le fait que nous étions peu présents. Vous avez un super bel endroit.
Thank you for a lovely stay. We enjoyed the sunsets and the quiet location. Being able to walk in the woods was a bonus. We will be back when we are next in the area.
Felt safe, comfortable, peaceful and welcome at this beautiful spot.
Thank you for the blessing of a restful day and for sharing your little paradise with us.
And for sharing your puppy with us too ;)
Really and truly hope to come by again.

We enjoyed our stay at Glass Hill.
Hosts are very nice and the place is great !
We walked on the garden, and on the walking Trail in the forest.
Eating breakfast near the pond and under the sun was so relaxing
Thanks for hospitality
This is a place we want to visit again. Our host was so friendly and gave us good tips for visiting Montreal and northeast Canada. We enjoyed learning about the area and about their farm. She was very generous with us. I recommend that you stay here if you are visiting Montreal area.
What can I say
Great end to our Canadian vacation
We had so much fun with our host and her buddy Shadow. Thanks for the eggs, broccoli and chasing us down the road to give us our keys. Beautiful camp out on their property. Hope to see you again.
These are some of the kindest people we have met in our travels. The host went out of her way multiple times to accommodate us and ensure a pleasant stay. The area is beautiful! I hope we meet again in our travels!
