Thank you for your hospitality. We appreciate you very much. Very quiet and peaceful night rest.
He was very accommodating with everything. Very peacefully.
This was a very pleasant spot in the country. I'd stay there any time. The host was very friends ... as were his dogs and horses.
Definitely would stay here again, lots of room and good solid ground for any size rig to get around on....
The host was nice enough to offer a parking spot in his vehicle shed to get us out of the snow, we happily took him up on this and enjoyed a nice peaceful evening. In the morning the host invited us to join him for breakfast at the local cafe. We declined, but definitely enjoyed speaking with him. We hope to stay here again!
Room to roam, horses, and dogs and plenty of Texas hospitality.
See you soon Bob !
A great place to stay overnight, ample space for our 5th wheel to get in, park and get out. Cowboytr was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
Very pleasant and roomy location. Hosts were welcoming, outgoing, and personable. Enjoyed my time there and would recommend this place to anyone.
A wonderful stay for one night, Cowboytr made us feel like family. His granddaughter is one of the friendliest you will meet anywhere. The lot is level and large. Easy access from the road. We hope to visit in the future.
Huge flat serene site with giant oak trees and green grass all around. Cowboytr is a wonderful host and as generous and giving as anyone you will meet on your travels. We got a tour of the area and the history of where our host grew up. We got to round up the cattle, watch team roping, feed the horses and just relax in a beautiful country setting. We were even given power and water witch was an extra bonus. The 2 resident dogs, Liberty and Tucker, are a complete joy and our dog loved playing with them every day. Thank you sir for an amazing visit and for your generosity and kindness to a fellow traveler and we will definitely be back to see you again.
And an offer of an adult beverage. It was perfect! Thank you, and maybe I will have to check out steer roping in Feb!
We enjoyed watching the horses and playing with the dogs, Liberty and Tucker. Thanks so much!
What a wonderful stay at Colfax Acres! He hooked me up with some sweet shade next to the big metal building where he lives in his own big rig. And just a short distance to plug into the 15 amp electric he offered ... giving me the respite I needed from this brutal East Texas heat.
But the greatest thing was meeting his grandson and wife, who also live on the ranch, their two dogs and the horses my Colfax host rides in events.
And one night, they had some young horse riders over to practice barrels and poles. Just the icing on the cake in this wonderful East Texas stay. I'll never forget this wonderful place, and more wonderful folk!
A very large and peaceful spot. Easy access from the highway, and lots of shopping 5 miles away. Nice horses and dogs, very rustic.
Colfax Acres counts as one of our favorite stays so far. There were so many chirping birds it almost sounded like he was piping in nature sounds. It's not far from the interstate but I don't recall ever hearing any road noise.
We can't imagine passing through and not stopping in to say hello to Cowboytr. We feel fortunate to now call him our friend. I'm sure I'll be back again sometime. He's a wonderful and gracious host, great to talk with and just an all around interesting person. We can't express enough how much we enjoyed him and his place.
Our stay at Colfax Acres was peaceful and quiet. Everyone was so welcoming and kind to us, the humans and the animals. Thank you, Cowboytr and family for a pleasant stay.
We really enjoyed our stay with Cowboytr! He was so welcoming and accomodating, because of all the state parks closing we needed a place to stay earlier than planned and Cowboytr was quick to respond to our request. His farm was a great place for us to relax. We really enjoyed playing with the sweet dogs and visiting with Cowboytr . We would love to stay here again!
Very friendly dogs, beautiful horses and gracious hosts. Thanks
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay on your property! We have really enjoyed getting to know your family. If we’re ever in the area again we’d love to stop in for a visit! Our daughter and your dog Tucker became fast friends. He spent most of his nights curled up under our RV waiting for her to come outside the next morning. Thanks again!
Lovely rural location. Did not get the pleasure of meeting host in person, as he was out of town, but he was very responsive and friendly, gave great directions, and gave us contact info for his grandson who is on the property. Grandson was very responsive and accommodating.
Plenty of space to park our 39' Class A with toad, as well as walk the dogs. Our dogs enjoyed meeting the friendly resident dog, as well as the horses.
2 miles off the hwy, made for a very convenient stop. A bit of a rough road for a large RV, but its a short stretch. We would definitely stay again!
Thanks Cowwboytr, you made our trek across Texas very pleasant. We overnighted there and the host couldn’t be more accommodating. We will stop again if we come back this way.
I enjoyed my stay Colfax Acres. The location has a huge yard to boondock and plenty of room to pull through and park your rig. The host was a super guy and had I not been so tired from traveling for four days I would have taken him up on his offer to watch some college football with him. Next time. The quiet location in the country was enjoyable. I enjoyed the tour of his RV too.
We didn't get to meet the owner, but the grandson greeted us and gave us a good ole Texas welcome. He was very polite and helpful. Thank you for allowing us to overnight.
Nice accessible site. Close to a couple nice size towns with a rural atmosphere. About 60 miles from Dallas with all the big city activities.
Great host. Enjoyed sharing some RV stories and great hospitality.
Thanks Cowboytr, Gracious host. his grandson met us at the driveway and cowboytr welcomed us to his ranch.
Very nice gentleman who showed us his horses and introduced us to his very friendly dogs. He offered a 110v hookup and water. My wife and I enjoyed our overnight at a very restful spot.
35' class A with a toad with plenty of room to maneuver.
Thanks again. Recommend.
