I have been camping for almost half a century, my wife, almost as long. She enjoys camping and boating but hunting and fishing are my interests. We have been retired over 15 years now and love it. RVing is a convenient way of seeing great places. Have had all sorts of campers. We now have our second truck camper, a Host Everest triple slideout which my wife likes much more because of the room it has.
A little bit of everything from carpentry to twin screw boat operation.
We lost our Wheaten In 2018 and at this time have no plans to get another dog.

This is our newest truck camper, a HOST Everest, which is only 19 feet front to rear. When mounted on our 2020 GMC 4X4 pickup, it is about 24 feet from front bumper to rear of the unit. The width is 8 feet and opens to about 11’ with side slides open. The rear slide adds about 18”. Our height is 12’ 6” so we have to watch for branches, bridges, etc. We tow nothing so this is the whole thing....no tow vehicle or toad. We need the slides open to access the interior so if your host location has a width restriction, we won’t be able to meet you. It can connect to 15 or 30 amp service. Check out the photos I have enclosed. Electric is definitely appreciated, but can survive without it if necessary. I use my water tank, so would appreciate being able to top it off.
It was a pleasure hosting Overtime. They updated us on their arrival time and their unit is super compact. I was disappointed that I didn't get to say Hi, as my work schedule was super busy. They left us a lovely note and thank you gift, which was much appreciated. Hopefully they will be out our way again and I will get the chance to actually say hello.
Unfortunately we didn’t actually get to meet while they were here but we had great communication. We hope they will come back.
