We are both retired and live normaly in the north of Germany in Lüneburg.
Since 2 years we own our RV and want to explore the world.
The first big trip is The Big Loop: We shipped our RV from Hamburg to Baltimore and from there we start our roundtrip.
Konrad is an ingeneer and worked in aircraft and automotive industry.
Jutta worked in urban administration.
We normaly live in Lüneburg, a town in the north of Germany 30 km south-east of Hamburg.
Our rig is a typical one for middle Europe. It is a Hymer Tramp on the base of a FIAT Ducato small truck, known in the US as a RAM Promaster. The maximum weight is 4,2 metric tons. It has no slide-outs, the width is 2,3 m (7ft 7") and the length in 24ft. We have no aircondition in the living area, only when driving in the drivers area. We have one solar panel (130W) and two 100Ah batteries. A Transformer from 12V to 220V helps us, to run our coffeemaker and hairdryer! We have no generator.
