We love traveling! As of last year we've been to all Canadian provinces and also to all "lower 48" plus the Yukon and Alaska.
Jack and I love looking for sand dollars wherever we go. We love reading and are active volunteers. We have been involved for many years in managing disaster relief projects in developing countries.
Since we both were born in Holland and all our relatives apart from our kids and grandkids live in Holland, we do house exchanges with people there.
In the summer we love to go camping! So our skills? Well, we can do a show-and-tell for our "hosts" or guests about the places where we have worked: Darfur, Rwanda, Mozambique, Uganda, Philippines, Ethiopia, etc.
We have no pets.
On a farm. In nature. Near water. In the National Forests. Really, anywhere at all. We appreciate all creatures who are willing to share their space with us.
Our hometown, St Albert AB, is just outside Edmonton. It is a pretty town with beautiful walking trails. In fact on trail runs right behind our house. We love spending the winters in our "winter palace" in Arizona, soaking up some more sun and warmth!
We have camped since 1962. First in a tent (1962-1968). Then in a soft-top tent trailer (1969-1979), then in a TT, a Skylark (1979-1990). Finally in several motorhomes. We bought our previous motorhome, a 1993 Itasca Sunrise 27ft in 1998 and sold it in 2012. It was just about 20 years old and had 202,000kms. We are now the owners of a 24ft Class C Thor Four Winds. However, we also spend each year about three weeks camping in our tent in Europe!
Travelly just left my house heading to Yellowstone. A Very nice well traveled couple, and would welcome them back anytime.
