We are both retired and are enjoying our “new to us” rv. Jim is a retired General Contractor as well as private pilot. He built several airplanes during his flying days. Rebecca is a retired Elementary Teacher and Principal. We enjoy the outdoors, fly fishing, traveling, museums, and meeting new friends. We have family in Colorado, Texas, Massachusetts and Florida which gives us great reasons to explore the US in between. We hope to travel and explore all of North America by rv.
Jim is very knowledgeable regarding building and repairs. He is also a skilled woodworker. Rebecca is creative with handi-crafts and sews.
Yes. We have an 11 year old female dog. We think Annabelle is part hound and part lab. She is a mid-size dog and very sweet.
We are new to boondocking and are excited to begin. Jim built a Teardrop Camper several years ago and we traveled to Massachusetts in it last summer but did not boondock.
We live in Longmont, Colorado. Longmont is one hour north of Denver and is 30 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.
Our class A is a 37’ Alpine coach by Western RV diesel pusher. We are towing a 2014 Ford Edge. We have one slide that is located on the driver’s side of the rig.
Jim and Rebecca were a great couple to host. It turned out Jim graduated from High School the same year as Ken from the same part of the State of Kansas and both are Emporia State Univ. alumni. As is always is the case with one night visits there wasn’t much time to share but we valued the time we did have and hope that should their journeys pass this way again we would love to provide a place to rest.
Very pleasant and congenial couple. The kind of folks that make Boondockers a vehicle for new friendships! Welcome back anytime!
Rbengston stay was great! Super nice people, ones that you would want to spend more time with. They are welcome back anytime and carry our recommendation to future hosts.
