I grew up in a small town in Michigan near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore and my wife, Jean grew up in a small town on the edge of Lake Okeechobee in southern Florida. We currently live in Venice, Florida, a mile in from the Gulf of Mexico. We have 2 sons and 1 daughter who live in Oregon, Georgia, and Michigan, hence our primary reason for traveling. Three years ago we bought a 28 foot HiLo travel trailer and traveled for 5 months each summer, mostly out West. This fall we made a big change when we bought a 28ft Jayco JayFeather travel trailer. We enjoy hiking, biking, painting, reading, photography, and especially visiting historical sites. Jerome can fix anything and everything. He is often helping friends, family, and other campers solve and/or fix problems. Jean likes to share recipe ideas and new book and author recommendations.
Our travel companion is Carly, our 3 year old cat. We stopped to visit Carlsbad Caverns and Jean just "had" to go into the animal rescue facility that was near the campground where we were staying in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Carly was a tiny, scrawny kitten when we adopted her. She adjusted beautifully to traveling with us and learned quickly to walk on a leash.

Venice, Florida.... just a bit of paradise here!
2019 Jayco 24RL and tow it with a 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi. We have 200 watts of portable solar panels to keep our batteries charged. We travel with a cat who stays in most of the time but when she does go out she is on a leash.
Very friendly couple. Unfortunately, they arrived right after a rain storm had softened the field and I told them (via email) to park in the driveway. They instead listened to a summer intern who was staying at my house and went ahead and parked in the field. There trailer left 6-inch deep ruts in my grass where they also left their leveling blocks buried. I am healing from foot surgery, so I can't go fix the ruts. In the future, people need to be sure to contact the host directly about things like this.
I was out of town when they arrived, but they were very easy to deal with via the website and were very respectful of the neighbors and property.
I hope to meet them on the road.
We enjoyed meeting JeromeJankowski and spending time with them. We would be happy to have them back any time.
