We traveled around America in the 1980s and are looking forward to resuming our travels now that the kids are on their own and we have the time. The only difference is that before we were tent camping with a Honda Accord and now we are in a VW Vanagon. The knees and back are too creaky for tent camping anymore. Diane and I have been married for 35 happy years. Diane just retired from 44 years of working as a nurse and I am in educational sales. We can't wait to get back on the road and see the beautiful country, have new adventures and make new friends along the way.
We are new to boondocking, but some of our favorite places to camp are in the Adirondacks and in the Lake Champlain region of Vermont.
We live in Webster which is a suburb of Rochester NY. We love living close to Lake Ontario and enjoy being only an hour away from the Finger Lakes. A superbly beautiful region of hills and lakes and an up and coming wine region. Rochester is a friendly, midsize city and has a lot to offer in the way of art, music and theatre.

This wonderful couple is what makes being a Boondockers welcome host so rewarding. We only had the opportunity to have them for one night and it was filled with wonderful fire side conversation. We certainly hope to have a return visit with them in the future. Also hope to visit them in their part of the country. Cheers!
