Yes, semi-retired and enjoying the added freedom to see this great land we call home, doing a few overseas travels as well..
We (my wife off 50 years and I) travel mostly by motorhome pulling a toad for added flexibility.. most travels have been east of the Rockies.. do want to go on west soon...
Love the great out-of-doors... seeing new places and faces...

Immediately on arrival we were made to feel at home by this wonderful couple. They welcomed us into their home and treated us to pecan and blueberry pie with mint tea for supper.....had to have a second slice. Next day they showed us around the back roads, through the countryside, pointing out the local attractions. Having visited relatives in Australia, they didn't have too much trouble understanding us and we were able to discuss the pros and cons of both our countries. We shared a short but very enjoyable time with this genuinely warm couple and will return if at all possible.....maybe even fit in a game of golf.
We spent two nights with this couple and enjoyed every minute, we found it amazing that we were brought together through Boondockers Welcome and that they have family in Australia and have spent considerable time there over the years, they have even been within 20 miles of our home town. So interesting to listen to this unique and sincere couple talk about the various employment paths they have taken in their journey through life. Now that you have our address, next time you are in Australia please do the extra 20 miles to visit with us at Woodgate Beach, Queensland. Cheers, Woodgate Wanderers
We can't say enough about the warm welcome when we arrived at this location in Abbottstown, PA. There was an immediate connection among the five of us. They shared a meal in our RV one of the nights we were there, and in turn, they invited us to share a meal with them in their home. We got to meet their son and his family as well. We'll certainly count them as friends from now on, and we hope we'll be able to meet again sometime in our future travels. What a wonderful service Boondockers Welcome provides to RVers. It's not just about finding free camping. It's about a lifestyle that includes warm relationships with kindred spirits. We have already lined up a second Boondocking stop later this month and can't wait to meet our next hosts.
First time we used this site and stayed at Travlin'man's place Could not have been a finer experience!
