Its a wonderful thing to wake up and know that live is good. Gardening, artwork, cooking, and travel are fun. We are close to family, retired, enjoying being alive. Our goals are better health, giving back, finding joy in small Things. We would offer our place as a rest stop. We are near Lake Cumberland in southern Kentucky. We are an hour from Big South Fork, Dale Hollow Lake, we're about 70 miles north of I-40, west of I 75 and east of I 65. We're 7 miles from a state highway. Good roads all the way. Large gravel area to park . Dump station located at Conley Bottom Resort,20 miles.
Being a lifelong organic gardener and an artists allows for interesting sharing of ideas.
We have an English Spaniel and a cat.

Kentuckians are friendly, welcoming people as evidenced by our wonderful hosts. They live in a peaceful neighborhood with plenty of space for their large garden, fruit trees, and grape vines. They helped us navigate the right turn on their gravel driveway when we got there and gave us specific directions to the lake, where we hiked. Nearby Mill Springs Mill is a must see with its path to the lake view and waterfalls.
Wow, what a nice place to camp and hang out. We felt welcome from the first moment. Thank you both for your kindness and hospitality!
Our hosts were so welcoming to us and have a beautiful place to stay at. They have a lovely garden and it was great to stroll around it and talk gardening! We were even given some garlic to plant in our garden. Just a beautiful area. Thanks again for your hospitality and hope you visit us in Michigan.
These are kind, friendly, generous hosts. Their beautiful yard and gardens are manicured beyond belief! We were very appreciative of the electric and water hookups, having been without for several days. Their pets are friendly, too! A nice quiet overnight that we really enjoyed. Hope to be back this way again! Thank you so very much.
Peggy and Charles were awesome hosts during our stay. Their property is lovely, peaceful, with abundant gardens. Peggy offered me any veggies in her garden, which I accepted!
Their dog, Buster, was great fun for our Feona ... they even escorted us to a nice hike along the Lake.
We would highly recommend this for anyone passing through rural Kentucky.
We absolutely loved staying here. Peggy and Charles are fabulous hosts, very friendly. Had great conversations and their herb, vegetable and flower garden are wonderful. We would love to stay again in the future.

So glad we stopped here! The host had great recommendations for swimming and absolutely stunning property. Very kind and hospitable, we felt very welcome and safe at this location and able to rest well. Our son enjoyed feeding the fish in their koi pond. Wonderful people!
We regret we only requested a one night stay! The location was easy to find, near a Walmart for groceries and things. The area is beautiful and peaceful, in spite of the nighttime rain showers. The Moore’s were gracious hosts and have a very well manicured home and fabulous camping area for guests. Our only concern was turning into their property...we are almost 60ft long, truck and 36 ft, 5’er. It took us a bit a Of navigational twitching, but we did it! No animals, landscaping or humans were damaged! Great experience! Wonderful overnight stay!
We had some issues with our rig coming into town and then ended up staying at our storage unit. Hosts were very kind and understanding and willing to work with us. Highly recommend due to communication alone
A great place to relax and rest. Beautiful gardens and helpful hosts.
My husband and I spent three wonderful nights at this gorgeous property and it could not have been a better first experience with boondockers welcome! The hosts were so kind and welcoming and we had a blast exploring the area, which has so much to offer. We went kayaking and paddle boarding at Lake Cumberland and did some hiking and mountain biking at nearby Daniel Boone National Forest. Thank you so much for hosting us and we hope to see you again!
Peggymoore and husband are warm, friendly, and very interesting. Loved the Garden: a virtual paradise of organically grown berries, flowers, vegetables, herbs and fruit of all kinds. We were invited to sample anything we wanted. My wife took several sticks of giant rhubarb to make jam with tonight. Yes, she makes freezer jam in the RV as we go along!
Her English spaniel was also friendly and happy for the company. The birds serenaded us in the morning on wakening: yes, it couldn’t have been a more pleasant stay. Highly recommended!
Why that title? Because if you follow GPS you run the risk of following some winding twisting roads to get there.
But once you get there, host is very helpful, and a nice person. You have a safe place to set up in a beautiful area. Enjoy!
What a wonderful place to stay.
Marvelous hosts, friendly and helpfull.
Very quiet place, We slept lire babies.
Hope to see them again in the future.
As I was traveling to Tennessee I made a last minute choice to stop and spend a night in Kentucky. I love Kentucky. I found Peggy’s place and was so grateful she could accommodate me and my 4 legged best friend at the last minute.
Peggy’s property is great and she is a generous hostess. We talked forever. Peggy shared her herbs from her garden with me and sent me home with some fresh hot peppers and tomatoes, yum!
I had recently made my own organic apple cider vinegar and Peggy was kind enough to do a taste test/review for me on video for my YouTube Channel.
My stay was so peaceful, I enjoyed watching the humming birds while drinking my morning coffee.
I wish my stay was longer, I hope to return again and know we will continue to stay in touch. I have found another friend, I am very grateful for this gift and experience.
What a great host, we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and she insisted that we leave with something from her garden which was very much appreciated.
Oh my! What a stunning place! A very high mark to compare other places to! Easy and level parking. Accommodating hosts were perfect. I want to go back for sure.
