We arrived as it was getting dark, and Cliff was waiting at the entrance to take us back and get us situated.
Extremely friendly and helpful.
We woke up to a beautiful view of the lake!
We would recommend this host not just for an overnight, but, since it is actually a campground, possibly a longer stay!
We would comfortably stay for a week or two if the weather was warmer.
We hope to be back!!!
Beautiful place to visit. Beautiful scenery. A great spot for a long term stay. Host was very accommodating and thanks for the great chat also.
Cliff was so helpful giving us directions and arranging our visit even though he wasnt feeling well. We were to meet him the next day but we left a little early because I wasn't feeling well. This is a great place to stay and it is beautiful.
Unfortunately, we didn’t make it for our second stay at Younghilton because we bit off more than we could chew on travel distance. We became travel fatigued and had to stop before we could get there as scheduled. He was completely understanding and concerned mostly about our safety on the road. He called to check on us and suggested safe places for us to get some rest. Awesome human beings at Younghilton, and I certainly hope we get the opportunity to return the kindness.
This was our first Boondocker experience, and I'm so thankful we started here. When we arrived, we were met by Cliff's father, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He showed us where to park our rig and helped us get leveled and hooked up. He treated us like we were family! After we got set up, Cliff came out to make sure we were set and visited for a while. Such nice folks! We visited with neighbors who were also extremely nice and friendly. We only stayed one night, but it was a rewarding experience because I feel like we made some new friends.
What a great host and we thoroughly recommend that if you get a chance to stay a night or two with them, do it.
We had a great time staying here. It was so nice being near the water. We would LOVE to come back!
Beautiful and almost completely quiet spot by a lake. Kids could play and run around, we sat outside and enjoyed the view. Lovely place! Thank you to the kind host!
We only stayed one night with Younghilton but sure was nice. We unloaded and took a short motorcycle ride but decided to just go back to the BW site and enjoy the view across the lake. Took our chairs down to the lake and stayed down there until almost dark. Thanks Younghilton for the hospitality and will like to stay again when we are in the area.
Thanks, again Monroe
Jordan Lake was our first stop on our way out "West" and Cliff was there to welcome us. A more than gracious host, we immediately felt at home. Thanks Cliff for making sure we were all hooked up and settled in. The lake is lovely and the setting peaceful and quiet. We hope to be able to stay again on our travels.
Beautiful property and wonderful host. Southern gentleman, friendly, polite and accommodating. Beautiful setting, couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you!!
Beautiful location, a wonderful place to sit and relax and watch the water while having your coffee in the morning. Host was very friendly and very helpful. He made sure I was camped near the water with the best possible view. I would definitely recommend this location and I will keep it on my radar when I returned to the area. Thank you!
I had a great time staying here! Cliff was there to meet me and make sure I was all set and hooked up. It was very quiet and the night ended with a beautiful sunset by the lake!
Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet these folks as we had sent a stay request on Feb 23rd but received no reply back. It is now Feb 27th still no reply so time to research more options.
If only grown children didn’t call at the spur of the moment and declare they were coming home for a visit. Seriously, we wish we could have visited these great hosts and their beautiful lakeside retreat. Wonderful message exchanges and I’m sure they are some of Boondocker’s best!! We hope to one day visit. Thank y’all!!!
