Retired. Live in central Florida. Have an older Class A motor home. Just returned from 5 week trip up through Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Have a significant other that loves to RV. We boondock 2 out of 3 nights at WalMart. (I have a pin on my hat that says: "I shower in WalMart parking lots!") Even have a program on my cell phone that tells me which stores allow parking. Love to travel. Going out to Quartzite in Arizona for the second time in three years if gas prices will allow it in January. My sister has a rig (custom made horse trailer with living accomodations,) I will be passing this link on to her. We travel together, another couple that is full time we join up with.
Awaiting a check from my insurance company, that bad storm on 6/29 caused a lightening strike on my power pedistal and did $2,700 damage to my motor home. Seems to be ok now, no additional problems on the trip home.
Unfortunately, I live in a gated retirement community about an hour north of Disney, and no facilities to put anyone up at this time.
I have all the tools, just need someone to show me how to use them!
1999 Hurricane with about 50K on it. (New transmission shifter module, new surge protector, new generator power switch box, new step motor and controller, thanks to the lightening strike! No slide outs. Not sure I want any. Heard some horror stories. FMCA number is 5395! Father and mother were charter members with their Newell, I have kept the number alive.
