We are recently retired educators - Mike - Director of Operations and Transportation; Shelly - Middle School Administration. Enjoying life outdoors - enjoying hikes, riding bicycles and motorcycles, and soaking in sunrises and sunsets.
We enjoy anything that is old and original. We love the simple life and enjoy helping others and finding new friends to travel and have great conversation with. Mike is a car guy and a handiman and we have both dabbled in woodworking. Shelly loves photography and finding inspirational quotes to attach to nature's beauty.
Anywhere in nature's glory.
2017 black Ford Transit Van. Also, a black 5'x 8' enclosed trailer for bikes and motorcycle; with the trailer we are 30 ft long; without the trailer, we are 20 ft long.
They were wonderful guests. Clean, good communicators, and left absolutely no trace of their visit
Love these folks, they are great guests. Welcome them to your boondock area any time for a great encounter of wonderful people.
Very nice couple with a great outlook on life. Traveling to the south Florida area, they stopped over for a brief stay. Would love to see them on an annual basis during their snowbird travels.
Nice couple with whom we enjoyed visiting. Good guests.
LiveBigSmall were great guests. We enjoyed our conversations with them and would enjoy hosting them again.
We love hosting this couple ,wish they could’ve stayed longer. We had a wonderful connection with them. I’m sure we will meet up again sometime in our travel.
The hosts were fantastic! Welcoming and accommodating. Thank you so much!
Hosts were very generous when my wife was not feeling well, and the night before had us out to visit with them. Nice little Boondock with some great sights right nearby.
My family and I traveled to area for short weekend stay. Host was very knowledgeable of area and have us information for free dump/water.
Great spot, close to downtown, and Stearns Park at the beach. We walked the breakwater to the lighthouse and on return were blessed to see an eagle catch a fish and land in a big cottonwood tree in the beach parking lot. Many other attractions, and outdoor adventures nearby. Enjoyed sharing travel stories with our hosts.
The hosts provided a perfect place for us to stay one night before we got on the ferry the next morning. It is five blocks from the dock.
The next morning they met us at the dock during their morning walk. Very kind and lovely, traveling folks. We could have visited with them about their adventures all day!
Mike & Shelly, thank you for the stay and the map of Ludington State Park. We were so exhausted from hiking all over that we didn’t get a chance to enjoy a night by the fire. Mike was great when we tripped the beaker because we had a bad adapter. A quick stop to the hardware store and we were back in business! Wish we could have stayed longer to get to know Mike and Shelly better but we are on a pretty tight schedule this time around. Great couple!!! Great stay. Quiet at night. A+
This is the second stay with this couple for us. We really enjoy the area with the great beaches and beautiful State park near by. Ludington is a great little town with a lot of character. Thank you LiveBigSmall for a great time. We will see you again in the fall.
Warehouse parking that we enjoyed! Right next to the marina. There was a small park just a short walk away. Hosts were great and pointed us to Ludington State Park which was only a 15 minute drive! So many hiking trails, and even a dog beach. We asked the people around us and let ours off leash. Things still moving slow due to COVID. Free RV dump at the town’s water treatment facility was awesome! No potable water, but flush water! Thank you for a lovely stay!
