I am a career firefighter and Emergency manager in a small suburban city, preparing for the next phase of my life when I retire in a few years. My wife Mavis is semi retired and works part time in a nearby museum. We are new to the RV lifestyle, and are looking forward to spending time with our close friends traveling and exploring.
We enjoy, hiking, boating, motorcycling (well I do) and bicylcing and our Dog Molly.
As I mentioned I am a firefighter, actually a deputy fire chief, fire inspector, investigator and emergency manager with over 35 years in emergency services. I also am what could be called an expert in fire apparatus, I have sold, manufactured and repaired fire apparatus for 25 years and I am a certified fleet manager.
I worked and lived in remote Northern Quebec and the Rockies for a few years, so somewhat of a amature bushman.
My wife has worked in fashion and tourism for many years, is an excellent cook, and good sailor, we owned a small sailboat for 10 years. Mavis has a real skill in ladies fashion and home decor, and knows much more about antique vehicles than most since her employ a a muesem?
Yes we have one energetic and playful 50# sheep dog/poodle cross, that provides both physical and mental therapy for us! Molly loves to travel and play with other dogs.
We live a small western Canadian city of 12,000, Lacombe Alberta, about halfway between Calgary and Edmonton, on the Eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies. We have lived and raised our family here for over 25 years.
