My husband and I are seniors happily living in a mobile home park near San Diego ,CA. We camp in a small motor home several times per year. We have 2 young grand children near by. Dave still works for the School district as a School Bus Driver .
We have lived in the area since 1969 so we know where every thing is. Dave grew up surfing in nearby Orange County so he can give you inside info on the beaches.
We have two little girls Goldie and Teddy, We take them most everywhere we go. Our camper fits in most driveways and street parking spaces.
We have only just begun "Boondocking" . So far we prefer Anza Borrego Desert State Park in Fall, Winter and Spring. Lately we stay home in Summer so Dave can do field trips for the Schools.
These days we live in a smallish town North East of San Diego. Poway has approx. 55,000 population. We are located in the center where we have what they call "Old Poway Park" only 2 blocks walk. Weekends there is a large farmers' market and Train Rides.
Our current rig is a 2006 Coachmen Freedom Express Class C, 24 ft long .We don't even have any slide outs. So width is not a factor.
It was a pleasure to meet this couple. They are welcome back any time! We found out that we had much in common! They are very respectful, quiet, prayerful guests.
Hardly had time to visit as we were so busy with errands, but they were quiet, friendly, and seem to enjoy our area of the desert. Would certainly host them again!
Our stay here was quiet and relaxing.. host were great and very helpful and accommodating.. parking is on a street and there is some confusion about if you are allowed to sleep in your vehicle, so check with host to make sure.
Dave and Nancy were very welcoming when we arrived. They made sure that our space behind their property is saved and available for our 37 ft class a with our tow vehicle. It was a quiet neighborhood and felt safe the entire time. The host even provided a 15 amp hookup. Very thankful for their hospitality. There are so much to see and do in San Diego area so we will definitely be back in the future.
