My wife and I just became empty nesters for the first time in 41 years. We live on an organic lemon farm/ranch where we "Tend The Garden" on a daily basis. We grow Lisbon Lemons, some pomegranates, peaches, mandarins, limes, and some figs. Our goal is to become RV'ers full time for the next 2 years, and either lease out, rent or sell our place. In the meantime, we want to share the beauty of this location here in Piedra, Ca.
I am a Farmer, Real Estate Specialist's, and Property Investor
Yes, we do have big dogs..... Black AKA Sheppard, a Chihuahua named Sushi.... and some cats. Chickens that give us fresh organic range feed eggs a day. So, any and all guests have to keep their pets confined, or on a leash. Please pick up dog poo and remove off the property (take it with you) Please. We run an organic certified farming and ranching operation and GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) requires us to prevent any and all domestic animal feces from being discarded onto this property.
Too new to tell you
On this ranch located in Piedra, Ca. 93649.... We are just down the road from the Wonder Valley Resort, and 15 minutes from The Pine Flat Recreational Lake. 25 minutes from the entrance to the Sequoia National Park, and across the street from Avacado Lake Park, and the Kings River. This is a famous catch and release fly competition area that's just walking distance from this casting zones.
Southwind by Fleetwood; 2001 with upgrades; very very good shape
Great location and a great host! The host was very kind and helpful to make my stay very comfortable. Who doesn't want to wake up in the morning in a lemon grove? Just wonderful California atmosphere all the way around, and as an artist, this location has many paintings just waiting to be created.
I would love to return to this beautiful California setting.
Words cannot explain how great a time we had staying on the lemon farm. Lemonman and his wife were SO welcoming and generous and downright great people to talk with. Perfect location right between Sanger and Sequoia/Kings Canyon Parks. Avocado Lake was a great little park right up the road and our kids loved splashing in the lake and playing at the playground. We ended up staying 5 nights instead of 3 because we loved being there so much. Next time we’re in CA we will definitely be looking them up again!
Best life’s sunset... on the top of the hill with view of all lemon trees... Wow!
Keith and Tania are so kind, helpful, generous... and friendly... for sure if we lived nearer we would like become their friends and visit them often ❤️ And give a hand with the farm 😉
Thanks a lot for all. You are welcome home when you want!
It was a pleasure to stay at lemonman's. He was very accommodating and helpful. We stayed 3 nights there and enjoyed our time. We spend most of our days at avocado lake wich is a 2 minutes drive from his property. It was very very hot during the days so it was nice for us and the kids to swim in the lake. Kings canyon and sequoia park are also a 45 minutes drive away by the 180. Lemonman allowed us to go in the mountains he has in his property to look at the beautiful sunset. He even brought a snake so the kids could touch one! They loved it. We really felt welcome staying there.
Our host Keith was very friendly. He even took us on a tour around is property. Nice time!
We stayed at the very end of May and it was already hot! We are from Canada so we are not that use to heat!
from keith’s lemon grove we took a couple of day trips to sequoia (45 ish minutes to kings canyon entrance) and yosemite (about two hours) during our stay and were so grateful to have a peaceful, safe place to rest our tired heads at night as well as a safe place to keep our rig while we were gone during the day.
keith and tanya were very welcoming and so helpful! we loved learning a little about lemon farming and the beautiful views of the valley from the property.
we also enjoyed evening family walks around a little lake at a park just a short drive down the road from keith’s place.
all in all, wonderful people, great place to park. we’re happy to have happened upon them!
side note: as for things to do in the area it’s fairly limited but for something unique look up ‘cat haven’, a conservatory for wild cats. we passed signs for it on our way back from sequoia and decided to check it out. we took their last tour of the day and found it very interesting and educational. the cats look to be very well taken care of. the facilities are very tidy and our guide was very knowledgable.
they take in rescues and cats that have retired. we felt like it was a neat experience so check that out if it sounds interesting!
Great spot!! Met us upon arrival, gave us options for where to park our rig. He had another Boondocker there for the night and had plenty of space for both of us. We met our “neighbours” and had a great chat. He offer us some fresh lemons off his farm and gave us some local knowledge for visiting sequoia national park. Would love to return.
Wow! What a fun place to spend a couple of nights. We arrived at Keith and Tanya’s 140 acre organic citrus farm right after the first harvest. These two are great hosts and invited us to pick some of the remaining fruit; we enjoyed LOTS of fresh squeezed Lemonaid. And the sunsets - awesome. It was so nice to come back to this quiet farm after the traffic/crowds at Sequioa National Park. Great stay!
The lemon man is the best and if you have a small rig you will get the most beautiful view of the surrounding valley. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we would recommend anyone to go here! We even got amazing lemons and limes and homemade stuff from them :) In google maps it’s N Piedra road and less far then google maps will sent you. Absolutely worth the little search though!
