The wife and I are both retired. We bought our first RV 2 years ago. It is a 34 ft Itasca Sunrise, 30 amp, gas, RV. We really like it and the traveling. We are avid chili cooks and cook in Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) cookoffs. We live outside San Antonio, TX. We have traveed North to the Washington D.C./Baltimore area and East to Homosassa and Dayton, FL in the RV. We expect to travel to Wisconson soon. Both are in our mid 60's. Learning how to drive and take care of the RV has been interesting and expensive but it has been a good experience. You are invited to check out for championship chili recipes. Being retired we live on a fixed income and have to cut corners whenever we can. We welcome a web site such as this one and I have a app on my smartphone that shows the Walmart Stores that will let you spend the night in their lot. Some will not because the local RV parks have gotten together and had the city council pass an ordanice prohibiting spending the night. Submitted 19 Jul 012

drrichardson69's Rig

34 foot Itasca Sunrise, 2004, 30 amp, gas, 2 slide outs. We bought the rig in Feb 2010, It had 16,806 miles on it. We are around 35,000 miles now. The inside is brand new. The outside is a little fade from sitting out in the sun for 6 years. We put new tires and battaries on it. It runs great. We have been upgrading the outside as money permits.
