We had the best time here and our hosts were absolutely amazing! B greeted us and helped us setup our electric hookup, as well as provided us with some potable water for our stay. She also provided a nice packet of information which we referenced to find things to do in the area. We slept well both nights, and the second day she even brought over some fresh, homemade bread. We enjoyed talking with both of them about Glacier National Park, the area’s attractions and more. Note- the entrance of their neighborhood is bumpy and narrow, but if you go slow and follow the instructions they provide you should have no problem.
Very nice stay. The hosts were very helpful and informative. The short section of dirt road to reach their place was pretty rough, though completely doable - other than that, a great location.
Kayaking is great couple, interesting stories and good travel tips. As soon as we arrived, we joined them at local brewpub to get to know each other.
They set us up on a nice spot with a 20 amp power cord. On our second night, an invitation to sit by the fire and chat. Tremendously enjoyable.
When we weren’t visiting with them, they left us alone. We did respect each other’s privacy. We would stay there again if in area, and would be glad to host them.
Pleasant helpful hosts.
Plenty of flat parking. Easy to find. Close to highway 93.
Our dogs got along nicely.
Road in ok but has a culvert right at start that might be an issue for long units with low clearance. My 26 ft w hydraulic jacks cleared it...but probably not by much.
Dusty parking and you have to like neighbor’s chickens.
Kayakin were gracious hosts, with a great spot with room to choose sun or shade. It’s located minutes from Stevensville and only 30 minutes from Missoula. Our hosts invited us to a lovely dinner and we talked about our respective experiences on the road. Great people; we were sorry to say goodbye, but we’re sure to cross paths again!
We contacted our hosts very last minute after a long day and a change of plans of where we had planned to stay. They responded quickly and we were about 1 mile from their road when I got the message, it was so awesome. After a short drive to their lovely home and property, we drove in and met them. Chatting easily about this and that we soon were directed to our spot for the night, after filling our rig with water which we really needed. We were invited to coffee at 8 am the next morning which was very thoughtful and sweet of our hosts.
After a peaceful and quiet nights rest we went in and had yummy fresh baked blueberry muffins with great coffee and continued our conversation. We found we had much in common, they even knew our friends in the valley we were meeting later that day, small world. They gave us good travel information as they are seasoned campers, much more than us, but what we want to someday be. We parted an hour or so later heading to our friend's house with the invitation to come back for a second night if our accommodations there didn't work out.
Very nice, helpful couple. We wish them well and hope to see them again on our next trip up to their neck of the woods. Thank you for a lovely time Kayakin !
